Job Description
DesignInstructors love to teach and help our students learn digital design. They are passionate about the potential for students to do great things, and committed to their long-term success. As a DesignInstructor, you will lead daytime activities and facilitate the immersive experience of our 12 week Full-Stack Design Bootcamp, as well as sync with part-time instructors to create a cohesive experience. You will play a big role in impacting our students through providing direction and mentorship, and you will help anywhere from 20-50 eager learners at a time to change their careers and lives as designers. A strong background in digital design, with experience in HTML/CSS/Javascript, UI, and user experience principles is a requirement. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be passionate about providing mentorship, direction, and sharing your knowledge by interacting with students on a daily basis

Qualifications
5+ years experience of living and designing on the web
A background in digital design, with strong experience in UI design, UX and IxD, and HTML/CSS/Javascript:
Experience and knowledge in UX methodologies
Experience in designing UI for web and mobile
Proficient in HTML & CSS markup; capable of writing clean, semantic, valid markup and modular, cascading, reusable CSS
Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, and cutting-edge web design capabilities
Wireframe and prototyping
Bonus: Familiarity with version control, Git, and other front-end goodies

Instructional and Learning Experience Design and Development
Work with faculty and staff in any teaching modality, including online, hybrid, remote, flex, and VR/AR/AI technology
Analyze, design, and develop content, activities, assessments, courses, and processes for multiple modalities through the appropriate blend of pedagogy and technology based on learning theory, instructionaldesign practices, and quality assurance rubrics.
Provide consultations and serve as a resource to faculty and staff on the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of learning outcomes, course modality, high-impact learning practices, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), accessibility issues and remediation, content creation, effective assessment strategies, and other instructionaldesign, learning experience, and/or technology concerns. The position will provide assistance to faculty and staff with virtual and augmented reality and AI.
Quality Assurance
Ensure course quality by performing quality assurance reviews and recommending revisions in accordance with the expected learning outcomes, best practices or other standards, and quality assurance rubrics.
Develop and implement measurement and evaluation strategies to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions on performance.
Consult on and monitor fair use and copyright in digital environments.
Emerging Technology
Demonstrate a strong foundation in technology with a keen interest in artificial intelligence, AR/VR/MR and other emerging technologies and their applications in an educational environment.
Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental AI and machine learning concepts and use a variety of generative artificial intelligence tools for different purposes (i.e. text generation, image creation, video creation, code creation, sound creation, etc.); discern which of those technologies and tools are best suited for different specific educational and business use cases.
