About This Role
The Instructional Designer II is responsible for designing and developing engaging training programs, eLearning modules, courses, and other instructional materials to support organizational learning initiatives. This role collaborates closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history in designing, building, and deploying eLearning modules using applications such as Articulate Storyline, Synthesia, and other L&D-related tools, and brings strong communication and problem-solving skills to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
Instructional Design & eLearning Development
Design, build, and deploy interactive eLearning courses and training materials using Articulate Storyline, Synthesia, and other instructional design applications.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, validate accuracy, and ensure instructional soundness.
Select the most appropriate instructional methods, delivery formats, and media (including print, digital, video, and multimedia).
Ensure training content meets accessibility and compliance standards.
Continuously improve training based on learner feedback and performance outcomes.
Learning Program Management
Develop and maintain curriculum roadmaps, training guides, and resource libraries.
Monitor, assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs; recommend and implement modifications as needed.
Support the integration of training modules into the organization's learning management system (LMS).
Partner with HR, leadership, and functional teams to align training with business needs.
Collaboration & Communication
Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to identify training needs and desired outcomes.
Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members or end users as required.
Create and deliver engaging presentations and communications to promote learning initiatives.

What You'll Bring
Education
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field.
Experience
2-4 years of professional experience in instructional design, training development, or adult learning.

Provides assistance and training to faculty and team members in the application of instructional and interface design of online and hybrid courses. Coordinates and collaborates with Master Course Development to design and produce quality online courses in all modalities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Direct the work and provides leadership to the multimedia, Master Course Development teams and some part-time employees. Coordinate with Master Course Developer to design and produce quality online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses and training materials.
2. Provide assistance to team members and faculty with instructional and interface design. Assist faculty in the selection of electronic delivery methods, use of instructional software and effective uses of multimedia. Provide troubleshooting assistance on course design problems.
3. Design and produce learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, and multimedia to support teaching and learning, and College information needs.
4. Design, develop and deliver workshops and online training to faculty in the use of instructional technologies and educational best practices. Offer special session/training to faculty upon department request for select or new software or technologies and pedagogical strategies.
5. Research innovative and latest trends on educational best practices, instructional resources and technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support teaching and learning, and to assist faculty in the development of new teaching methods.
6. Research, recommend and participate in decision-making for the purchase of or transition to new software and technology. Keep current with instructional design and ADA web compliance issues.
7. Participate in training and developmental activities and seminars, as required.
8. May provide program level support to include working with Deans, instructional leaders and faculty.
QUALIFICATIONS
