Responsibilities
GovCIO is seeking an Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS) with previous Navy training experience developing courseware using Content Planning Module (CPM), Learning Object Module (LOM), Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM), and Adobe Captivate. The ISS will work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and conduct analysis, design, and development in support of the Navy's Sailor 2025 Ready, Relevant Learning (RRL) initiative. NETC E2E and Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) experience are preferred. This is a Newport, RI Center for Services Support (CSS) opportunity that requires onsite presence for regular work hours and active secret security clearance.
Specific Duties/Job Requirements
Perform and support Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) Fielding Plan analysis and evaluation of curriculum documents for the local NAWC TSD Learning Center Using Government Furnished Information (GFI) and approved analysis and design products develop Interactive Courseware (ICW) according to the RRL/Sailor 2025 standards Proficient use of CPM, AIM, LOM, and Adobe Captivate for ICW curriculum development Ability to work in a production-driven environment and meet deadlines Ability to work collaboratively with the NAWC TSD development team Develop consistent, well-written, and technically accurate RRL/Sailor 2025 ICW course material to include video and audio scripts, storyboards, and test questions in accordance with the Sailor 2025/RRL Style Guide and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL) Work as a member of a courseware development team and attend working group meetings and conferences as required. We are seeking an Instructional Specialist to be a key member of the Academic team. The Instructional Specialist reports to the building principal. This is a 12 month position.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Instructional Specialist is someone whose primary responsibility is to bring evidence-based practices and 21st Century skills into classrooms by working with teachers and other school leaders. The Instructional Specialist will develop the proficiency of all teachers through a focus on individual and group professional learning that will expand and refine the understanding about research based effective instruction for teachers specifically focused on the implementation of the ELA and Math curriculum.
