Responsibilities:
Collaborates with other instructors in preparing, administering, and grading examinations for the course. Participates in the preparation of the final evaluations for the course
Responsible for assuring class attendance and grades are kept and submitted

Position Description and Teaching and Research Duties: The standard teaching duties at CSUB are 12 units/semester. Almost all courses in the Department of Mathematics are 4 units including a discussion/problem solving session. A reduced teaching assignment is standard during the first two years of the tenure process. It is expected the successful candidate will develop a research agenda and maintain a publication record.
Minimum Qualifications: It is expected that the successful applicant holds a doctorate degree in mathematics. Applicants nearing completion of a doctoral degree may be considered; however, employment is contingent upon submission of evidence of degree completion by August 1, 2026. Basic Function Please Note: Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary range is $66.00/hour; Hourly rate may vary based on type of assignment and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula. Minimum Qualifications
Master's in psychology
OR
Bachelor's in psychology
AND
Master's in counseling, sociology, statistics, neuroscience or social work
OR - The equivalent. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for these positions.
