The 32BJ Training Fund is seeking qualified part-time adult education instructor candidates in one or more of our training locations, including remote online classes.

SEIU 32BJ is a service union that represents cleaners, maintenance workers, service staff, and security officers in the New York City area and nine other states on the East Coast. Participate in applicable professional development activities as available
Qualifications

Able to use digital platforms to instruct, communicate, and record program data.
Appropriate license or certification required for some courses.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in carpentry and a passion for teaching. This role involves instructing students in various carpentry techniques, pre-apprenticeship, and OSHA safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:
· Organize and present program of practical and technical instruction on carpentry principles, means and methods, including demonstrations of skills required in trade, and lectures on theory, techniques, and terminology. Plan and supervise work of apprentices, individually or in small groups. Observe apprentices and answer apprentice questions.
· Instruct apprentices in subject areas such as tool and equipment maintenance, building codes and regulations and safety precautions related to carpentry.

· Maintain inventory and equipment records within assigned classroom and workspace.
· Assure that all students abide by the guidelines, policies and rules and regulations as set by the Carpenters Training Center.

· Maintain attendance records, and task sheets. Add new projects in coordination with administration including any new products or technologies new to the market.
· Recommend or suggest changes for the improvement of the training program.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong understanding of carpentry principles and practices.
· Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.
· OSHA certification is required.
· Demonstrates a solid understanding of commercial construction in NYC.
· Skilled in prioritizing and assigning work; preparing reports; adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
· Willing to and possesses the ability to be cross trained in all areas of carpentry and health and safety courses.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work overtime as required.
· Must be willing to attend training classes at the UBC ITC in Las Vegas.
· Must be willing to travel/fly to training destinations as needed to maintain certifications.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Instruction and Curriculum for Pre-College Programs, Pre-College instructors develop and deliver immersive non-credit courses for high-achieving high school students. They guide and supervise students when classes are in session, and write a holistic evaluation of each course participant after classes conclude.

Course Description
The field of biology has expanded rapidly over the past fifty years. New discoveries are happening almost every day. In this course we explore the basic elements of molecular biology, genetics, and evolution and how these sciences affect modern medicine, agriculture, and ecology.
The course begins with a full description of the structure, function, and synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins. Students then apply this information to a wide range of topics such as modern biological research techniques, data interpretation, genetic engineering, immunology, cancer, and virology. The course also includes mini-units on bioethics and the biology of global warming, and we connect modern biology to fields such as anthropology, history, and economics. A variety of group activities, online labs, and videos supplement the student experience.
Please note, this course does not include a wet lab component.
Approximately a third of the material covered in this course will already be familiar to students who have taken AP Biology.

The Fashion Design Department at FIT invites applications for experienced Fashion Designers or Technical Designers to teach fashion design techniques with a focus on industry-standard digital tools, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and related applications.
The successful candidate will have advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, particularly in creating industry-standard flats, and will be able to instruct students in developing technical packages (tech packs). Knowledge of garment specifications is essential for certain courses.
Candidates should have strong presentation, layout, and design development skills, as well as proficiency in digital tools and software commonly used in professional fashion design workflows. The ability to effectively assess student performance and submit grades in accordance with the academic calendar is required.
Adjunct instructors deliver relevant course material, assess student performance, provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom, and submit grades on time. Course descriptions are available in the online catalog.

Compensation
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment.
$87.14 per hour based on minimum qualifications. The final rate, step and appointment rank are determined by a candidate's ability to demonstrate that they meet the respective school's additional criteria for hiring "above the first step," in accordance with the CBA Adjunct Salary Schedules (pp 88-89).

The Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science offers 3 ABET accredited undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security Systems and Information Technology. Job Summary
The Assistant Strategist, Business Solutions is responsible for supporting the team in the development of media plans, results analysis, and data management. This position requires an individual to strategically think and problem solve while paying meticulous attention to detail. What You'll Do
50% Account Management
Assist with day-to-day account maintenance tasks inclusive of billing and creative material distribution
Schedule, attend, and participate in client/internal meetings; capture and distribute meeting recap notes to clients and internal team members, summarizing all deliverables and next steps
Keep team updated on the status and timing of deliverables
Collaborate with team to identify data and billing discrepancies and recommend creative solutions
20% Strategic Planning
Support team members with overall media plan development, budget tracking, implementation, and maintenance
Analyze competitive research to inform media strategy
Pull and manipulate large performance-based datasets that inform the overall media approach and strategy
15% Internal Relationship Management
Engage and effectively interact with clients and other Horizon Next departments internally
15% Training & Development
Advance knowledge and learn about the media industry, Horizon Next, and our clients
Participate in Horizon's Media 101 training program, as well as other syndicated and proprietary training sessions (i.e. Excel Basics, Business Writing, Presentation Skills, and more)
