The instructor will train Soldiers and leaders in digital systems, scenario execution, TOC operations, MDMP, and the integration of the Army's six Warfighting Functions (Mission Command, Movement & Maneuver, Intelligence, Fires, Sustainment, and Protection) during simulation-based events. The position requires strong doctrinal understanding and the ability to role-play and mentor staff positions across all WfF areas during events. ***This position is contingent on contract award*** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction on Mission Command Systems, including CPCE, JBC-P, and related MCASP platforms. Instruct and support Army simulation systems such as VBS3, DXTRS, and other virtual/constructive simulation tools. Provide SME-level role-player support across all six Warfighting Functions (WfF) during staff exercises, TOC operations, and simulation events. Support the development, modification, and execution of simulation scenarios aligned with OPORDs, training objectives, and doctrinal requirements. Conduct simulation database management, including updates, backups, migrations, and preparation for training events. Assist students through the MDMP process, including OPORD/FRAGO development, planning products, and staff synchronization. Execute HICON/White Cell functions by issuing OPORDs, answering RFIs, and ensuring doctrinally accurate higher command interactions. Conduct operational readiness checks on all digital and simulation systems; coordinate repairs and report deficiencies to G6 IT. Coordinate closely with Small Group Leaders (SGLs) on class requirements, student groupings, rosters, passwords, and event preparation. Provide over-the-shoulder coaching to reinforce digital system proficiency and staff integration during exercises. Participate in planning sessions, IPRs, weekly scheduling meetings, and coordination with Government oversight. Support up to 133 classes and 85 training events per year, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and doctrinal soundness of instruction. Maintain and update lesson plans, POIs, and training materials in accordance with evolving Mission Command systems and Army doctrine. Assist in classroom setup, breakdown, cleanliness, and equipment management to ensure continuous training readiness. Curriculum Development * Collaborate with program leaders, campus leaders, and academic leaders to ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and any programmatic accreditation or regulatory requirements. * Make recommendations on facility and lab equipment upgrades and repairs as necessary. * Participate in Curriculum Review Boards where applicable. 3. Assess and Support Student Success * Evaluate and assess student progress through both written and practical exams/assessments, quizzes, and participation in classroom discussions and lab activities. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student grades per the program's established grade tracking system (gradekeeper, excel, etc.). * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance by posting attendance daily in the Faculty Portal, and any other established tracking system per the program policies. * Participate in weekly SOS (Save Our Students) meetings to discuss any students of concern with programmatic and campus leadership. * Conduct, and/or collaborate with program leadership and campus leadership to conduct, student advisory meetings as related to academic, attendance, or behavioral concerns. * Provide students with regular updates on progress, or lack thereof, with grades and attendance. * Build professional relationships and rapport with students to support their success. * Maintain a minimum of benchmark of 70% retention for each class with a goal of achieving 80% retention of each class. 4. Program Support * Assist the program's Externship Coordinator with externship placement, visits and coordination if necessary. * Assist the program's Placement Coordinator with placement of students, offering reference letters and resources for student placements. * Attend Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings, graduation ceremonies, monthly program meetings, open houses, bi-annual instructor workshops, and other required functions. * Attend off-site student events (ex. Senior fair, school physicals, community service events, etc.). * Maintaining/ensuring student vaccinations are up to date. * Assist in training new employees within the department. 5. Stay Current with Industry Trends * Stay abreast of changes and updates within the skilled trade. * Join or maintain membership to an established professional trade organization. * Attend trade organization meetings, webinar, and events as applicable. 6. Professional Development * Maintain active professional certification or licensure by completing the required continued education per trade organization certification or licensing agency. * Attend MTI/DTC bi-annual Instructor Workshops. 7.
