The School of Education Adjunct Faculty - Dissertation Advisor, under the supervision of the School Director is responsible for guiding students through their dissertation journey. Dissertation Advisors (Chairs) are to be experienced in the end to end dissertation development process. Nursing: (5) Skills laboratory and clinical instructor qualifications.(a) A clinical instructor shall function under the guidance of the nurse faculty responsible for a given course.(b) A clinical instructor for either a registered nurse or practical nurse program shall hold a current unencumbered license, privilege, or temporary work permit to practice as a registered nurse in the state of the student's clinical site.(c) A clinical instructor shall have a minimum of two (2) years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse within the immediate past five (5) years and evidence of clinical competence appropriate to teaching responsibilities.(d) For a registered nurse program, the clinical instructor shall meet the requirements of KRS 314.111(6)(a). PURPOSE The Instructor Commission develops and presents instructional classes for the Parks and Recreation Department. Work hours will vary. This position reports to the Recreation Coordinator. Utilize recreation management software to monitor activities and facilities, communicate with current/past participants, run reports for program and facility use, and other items as needed. Establish rapport with participants, facility patrons and the general public, respond to difficult situations and complaints, exercise independent judgement to recommend changes, correct and analyze public concerns and questions and resolve in a timely manner. Operate and maintain a variety of facility and program-related equipment and supplies to ensure that all programs, activities, and facilities operate at optimal levels. Assist the Recreation Coordinator in coordinating with groups to ensure that the recreation center and other facilities are utilized at the maximum level of efficiency, and that such facilities are adequately supervised and maintained during all activities and events. Develops instructional classes. Provides instruction to the Parks and Recreation Department and the public. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered. Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or border state driver's license, as defined by NRS 483. Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check.
