Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is seeking adjunct instructors in our Nursing program who are eager to contribute to its Lasallian Catholic mission of awakening, nurturing, and empowering learners to ethical lives of service and leadership. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Pre-Licensure Program at Saint Mary's University is seeking applications for Nursing Course Adjunct or Nursing Clinical Adjunct instructors. Contracts vary based on semester and enrollment needs. All Adjunct positions are part-time, temporary positions. These positions are filled on an as needed basis and are on-going recruitments. Contracts may include day, evening and weekend courses and may be in-person or blended courses.
CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR: Are you interested in teaching nursing clinicals to our entry-to-practice students? A Nursing Clinical Adjunct contract may fit in well with your existing nursing role. Clinicals typically take place Monday through Friday between 6am and 8pm on a routine schedule (eg. Tues from 700-1530). A Nursing Clinical Adjunct instructor is responsible for overseeing and evaluating a group of 4-10 nursing students during a clinical shift. NURSING SKILLS LAB INSTRUCTOR: Are you interested in teaching entry-to-practice nursing students in the nursing skills lab? A Nursing Course Adjunct contract may be a good way to pass on your nursing expertise and knowledge. Nursing Skills Labs are typically in 4-hour blocks on Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm on a routine schedule (eg. Tues from 0800-1200). A Nursing Course Adjunct instructor is responsible for overseeing and evaluating a group of 10-18 nursing students during a nursing skills lab. Onboarding, training, and ongoing support provided to all Nursing Course Adjunct instructors. Eg: N260 Fundamental Nursing Care
DIDACTIC INSTRUCTOR: Are you interested in teaching entry-to-practice nursing students in a didactic course? A Nursing Course Adjunct contract may be a good way to pass on your nursing expertise and knowledge. Didactic Nursing courses are typically scheduled MWF or TR at a routine time and are held in person (eg. MWF from 0800-0850). A Nursing Course Adjunct instructor is responsible for teaching and evaluating a group of 12-50 nursing students during a didactic course. Salary Range: $40k - $65k
Qualifications
Must meet the requirements of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, MN Board of Nursing, and national accrediting organizations. Including, but not limited to, the following:
Education:
Required: Bachelor degree in Nursing
Preferred: Graduate degree in Nursing (Master's or Doctorate-PhD, DNP or EdD)
RN License:
Valid nursing license in Minnesota required
Valid nursing license in Wisconsin required if clinicals are in Wisconsin
Experience:
Experience in related content areas: 3 years of relevant experience
Eg: community health, mental health, acute care, maternal/child, pediatrics
Experience in nursing education and/or precepting expertise
Preferred: Knowledge of CANVAS and ATI learning systems

The I/O role provides training services for the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC), which plans and carries out instruction and validation in accordance with accepted medical practices and established military medical and operational doctrine. The I/O will be capable of instructing a mixed population of Soldiers, both inexperienced and seasoned. The training may be conducted in a classroom or a field training/evaluation environment.
The I/O will utilize approved simulation scenarios included in the course POI or as approved by US Army EMS and ensure that the medical simulation scenarios are designed to be as realistic as possible. Therefore, he/she will utilize moulage techniques, environmental control, and theatrical special effects to simulate the injuries and environment that the military medic or first responder may confront during various operational echelons and or theatres. Moreover, he/she will assess the students' critical thinking skills and psychomotor skills based on their ability to perform under these high-fidelity situations.
The I/O will be capable of instructing, demonstrating skills and testing Soldiers in all areas of the 68W Sustainment, EMT levels, as well as CLS courses.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that training courses address all levels of students.
Capable of instructing, demonstrating skills and testing Soldiers in all areas of the 68W Sustainment, EMT, and NREMT Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) level in support of EMT Sustainment Course, as well as CLS courses. All I/Os must meet the minimum Instructor qualifications for course they instruct.
Comfortable instructing a mixed population of Soldiers, both inexperienced and seasoned, in class sizes not to exceed the instructor /student ratios as directed by the AMEDDC&S.
Work with the training unit to assist the unit in preparing for training to include equipment use, preparation and clean up.
Possess presentation skills to train and educate students/ employees on technical material and applications.
Remain informed of and must maintain proficiency with applicable company products.
Ability to take inventory and manage consumable items (skins, synthetic blood, etc.) along with the Preventive Maintenance Checks & Services (PMCS) Kits.
Perform PMCS (daily maintenance) on all equipment.
Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding student/ employee information.
Work independently and as part of a team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
I/Os shall be current in and maintain National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) with a level of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher.
I/Os shall comply with one of the following requirements:
A former 68W or 18D Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Advanced Leader Course (ALC) graduate).
A former Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 8404 or Navy Independent Duty Corpsman E-6 or above.
A former Air Force 4NOX1, or an Aerospace Medical Service (4NOX1) E-6 or above.
Currently licensed Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant or Physician.
Must maintain Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
Must complete TC 8-800 (all tables) or the most current TC3 instructor course offered by the Army Medical Department (AMEDD). All I/Os must complete TC 8-800 skills validation annually.
I/Os must possess comprehension skills for understanding the course material and be able to apply knowledge to the presentations.
I/Os must be familiar with computers and possess basic Microsoft Office suite skills.
Knowledge of staff positions required to establish and operate program site codes, training centers, etc.
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and be eligible to obtain a Contractor CAC.

Job Summary
A unique opportunity exists to help found a new undergraduate nursing program at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, Winona Campus. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Pre-Licensure program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and accredited by Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The first cohort of freshman nursing students began their studies in Fall 2021 and graduated in May 2025. 100% of graduates passed the NCLEX on their first attempt and are licensed as RN's.
As a member of the founding team, the Nursing Faculty will join the curriculum development already underway. We continue to refine the newly designed nursing courses and clinical rotations for four cohorts of nursing students. The nursing curriculum uses a concept-based approach to teaching and a competency-based approach to assessment. Canvas Online Learning Platform, ATI learning resources, and CAE and Gaumard simulation technology are utilized to enhance student learning. The Nursing Faculty member develops, teaches, monitors, and evaluates courses in the baccalaureate pre-licensure program. Responsibilities may be a mix of classroom, skills lab, simulation, and clinical as suited to the individual faculty member's area of expertise.

Job Description
Viterbo University is seeking qualified applicants for possible temporary part-time teaching assignments. These positions are filled on an as-needed basis. Courses may be scheduled for weekdays or evenings. Most psychology courses are in -person.
Needs vary by semester, but most frequently we need individuals who are able to teach Lifespan Development or Interpersonal Communication Skills (i.e., counseling micro-skills).
Applicants must meet the minimum educational or professional experience requirements indicated below to be considered for the pool of qualified candidates. All hiring decisions are made at the discretion of the department.
