Job Description
The Department of Nursing at Augsburg University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach courses in the various nursing programs, which include the BSN completion (RN-BSN), MA in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP-FNP and post-Masters DNP). In addition, the nursing department may have opportunities to be a clinical instructor for the DNP-FNP track.
Priority will be given to a candidate demonstrating interest and strength in teaching with an emphasis on transcultural nursing, public health nursing, leadership, holistic health, equity and inclusivity and social justice issues in the discipline.
This search will establish a "pool" of instructors if such openings occur during Spring, Summer, or Fall of 2025. Applicants may be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis throughout the year.
Available courses vary by term. Most classes are held during the day, 1 day per week. In addition to teaching the class and grading student work, instructors are expected to respond to student questions through email, hold regularly scheduled office hours, reach out to students with course progress information, and communicate regularly with the course coordinator. A course syllabus with calendar, textbook and homework selection, sample activities and exams, and shared office space are typically provided. Most classes are taught in-person on our Minneapolis campus. Each course requires approximately 12-15 hours/week for 15-16 weeks.
The successful candidate will possess both a high level of intercultural competency and a commitment to inclusive practice and authentic representation.

The Art Therapy field experience instructor provides clinical instruction and group supervision to students while completing their field experience (practicum and Internship)
Salary Range: $2,000.00/ class
Essential Functions for Field Experience Class (Practicum & Internship) Instructors:
* Teach 2-hour long weekly clinical group supervision class (during sessions 1 and 2 of the term) (10 classes per term).
* Maintain regular contact with the Field Placement supervisor and the student at the placement site, to review progress of the student. Faculty must send at least two email communications at the beginning of session 1 and 2.
* Complete a professional disposition evaluation form on each student during their second term of internship in collaboration with the site supervisor.
* Communicate student and site issues to the Field Experience Coordinator and Art Therapy Program Director in a timely manner.
* Monitor and evaluate students' professional and clinical development throughout field experience, including giving feedback on and tracking written assignments.
* As appropriate, work with staff and academic advisors to manage and/or mediate student issues and educational obstacles.
* Review of students' field experience hours log and evaluation.
Qualifications/Skills:
* Earned a master's degree in counseling or related professions.
* Licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Professional or Marriage and Family Therapist.
* Holds Certification as a Registered Art Therapist that carries Board Certification (ATR-BC) or Art Therapy Credentialed Supervisor (ATCS)
* Has clinical supervision training and experience.
* Evidence of ability to teach and work with people from diverse backgrounds.
* Experience with residential and online teaching platforms and/or online teaching experience preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to build successful relationships with diverse student populations.

Degree & Experience Required:
