JOB SUMMARY
Both our lower-division and upper-division undergraduate courses are 3-unit courses. Each is taught twice a week on campus (either at our San Bernardino campus or our Palm Desert Campus) for one and a half hours per class session, during the Fall and Spring semesters (15 weeks each). Instructors prepare their syllabi, assignments, classroom activities, lecture materials, and grading rubrics, and teach the courses following department guidelines. Instructors or these courses also hold limited office hours in which they can meet with students who need help, have questions, and require advice about their coursework.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students.

Qualifications:

Direct patient care experience within the previous five (5) years in the nursing area to which he/she is assigned.
Completion of at least one (1) year of experience teaching courses related to registered nursing Pediatrics or completion of a post-baccalaureate course which includes practice in teaching registered nursing preferred.
Hold a valid, active license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation Certificate.
Energetic, engaging personality appropriate for classroom and/or clinical instruction.
Candidates should have basic computer literacy and be comfortable using technology in the classroom.
