JOB DUTIES
Performs performance-based objectives and outlines for course of study following curriculum guidelines and requirements of the college and state and federal initiatives.
Organizes program of practical and technical instruction, including demonstrations of skills required in the esthetics professions and lectures on theory, techniques and terminology; prepares outline of instructional programs and studies and assembles materials to be presented.
Instructs students in subject areas such as use, maintenance and the safe operation of tools and equipment, codes or regulations related to the Massage Therapy Program.
Instructs students in the importance of accuracy, neatness, efficiency, resourcefulness, and good work habits in obtaining employment as Estheticians.
Assigns lessons to students and corrects homework; administers tests to evaluate achievement of students in technical knowledge and practical skills.
Keeps records of daily attendance and student progress; reports to Lead Instructor and Registrar.
Presents subject matter to students, utilizing a variety of methods and techniques, such as lectures, discussions or demonstrations; ensures use of classroom time is organized and that instruction and clean-up (if applicable) can be accomplished within the allotted time.
Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts; responds to basic student questions; may initiate study groups in preparation for examinations.
Enforces classroom protocols, rules, and regulations; maintains classroom discipline; utilizes effective classroom management techniques.
Attends meetings and trainings per requirements of Lead Instructor, Program Chair or Director of Education; participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and professional development workshops.
File an appropriate course syllabus for each course taught with the appropriate Program Chair.
Conduct class evaluations and complete other college evaluations in accordance with college policy.
Make suggestions to the Program Chair concerning the improvement of the curriculum in keeping with the objectives of the college.
Complete an annual goals setting and performance review with the Program Chair, approved by the Director of Education.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Cosmetology/Esthetician licensure through applicable state board, required.
Cosmetology/Esthetician Instructor's License required.
Must have at least three (3) years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist/esthetician and be familiar with all aspects of the industry.
Some level of teaching or training experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Knowledge on how to formulate and articulate policies, procedures, expectations, and practices.
Knowledge of basic mathematical skills such as percentages, fractions, etc.
Knowledge of educational measurement.
Familiarity with operating a calculator, copier, fax machine, television, and VCR.
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
Sound instructional skills.
Able to exercise sound judgment and be able to develop programs and curricula to meet industry needs.

Candidate will provide support to the functional components of the Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Tactical Proficiency Trainer (IEWTPT) program in support of individual and collective training at the company, brigade and division levels.
Candidate participates in planning and implementation of training programs, practices and procedures; and configuration requirements definition, analysis, design, system integration, and Technical Control Cell (TCC) Upper and Lower Enclaves, and associated Target Signature Array (TSA) systems.
Will interact with a team of instructional designers, subject matter experts, engineers, and Government representatives to analyze job tasks, develop new and revise existing training content, and implement revised content based on changes to the system; tactics, techniques, and procedures; and concept of operations.
Be able to demonstrate effective presentation and questioning skills, prepare for instruction, provide clarification and feedback, promote retention and transfer of knowledge and skills, and assess learning and performance.
Candidates designated as site leads will work directly and independently with Government customers, contractors, team members, and program management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Planning, coordination, preparing, and conducting training and instruction, and post training assessment.

Training Support - IEWTPT personnel are responsible for tailoring INTEL training solutions to the training unit’s overall training objective, providing in-depth advice and assistance to unit personnel before, during, and after gaming exercises. IEWTPT personnel are responsible for maintaining a satisfactory soldier utilization level of their systems and are held accountable for those numbers. IEWTPT personnel develops and executes scripts during pre-training event briefings, and after-action meetings with unit leadership and inject input and observations of training to senior leadership. Develop SOPs / POI’s to support systems operations. Develop training scenarios for individual and collective training events. Personnel also track training statistics on the IEWTPT system to show usage and trends in the system and advise developers on future enhancements for the system. IEWTPT personnel will be responsible for developing steps to plan, coordinate and execute training to support each unit’s specific training objectives that draw on their individual experience of intelligence systems and capabilities.
Team Integration -
IEWTPT personnel will ensure that the TPT Team is integrated into the respective Mission Training Center (MTC) / Combat Training Centers (CTC) operations.
IEWTPT duties include:
Facilitating unit training to provide units with the skills and knowledge required to effectively employ mission specific solutions;
Assist deployed forces in analysis of intelligence operations; and
Proactively assist in identifying and addressing intelligence capability gaps.
Integration includes system architecture tie in to simulation fields and overall Information System Architecture.
Establish relationship with the intelligence community in order to tie in to planning processes to ensure that the TPT capabilities are known and are integrated into exercise planning processes.
Individual will be responsible to promote cross-communication between new and existing IEWTPT sites by assisting other site support personnel in collaboration efforts that increase utilization and proficiency at the local site and across the program.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Candidate must have or be able to obtain a certificate or certification meeting evolving computing environment requirements.
Bachelor's degree in related field and 6+ years progressive experience in Training/Development, or other subject-related experience may be applied in lieu of bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Candidates must be willing to and available for occasional travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) at least 10% annually.
Candidate will be required to obtain a base line security certification to meet DoD IAT Level II requirements (i.e. Comptia Security +) within 60 days of hire.

The person is this position will perform a variety of routine duties, as needed, to provide instruction in the theory and practice of esthetics, which includes the use of cosmetic preparations, body treatments, body wraps, hydrotherapy, antiseptics, tonics, lotions, creams, or other preparations for the care of the skin; massaging, cleansing or exfoliating the stratum corneum of the epidermis for the care of the skin; stimulating, manipulating, beautifying, grooming, or similar work on the face, neck, arms, and hands or body in a superficial mode for the care of the skin; applying make-up or eyelashes to any person or lightening hair on the body except the scalp; removing superfluous hair from the body of any person.
JOB DUTIES
Performs performance-based objectives and outlines for course of study following curriculum guidelines and requirements of the college and state and federal initiatives.
Organizes program of practical and technical instruction, including demonstrations of skills required in the esthetics professions and lectures on theory, techniques and terminology; prepares outline of instructional programs and studies and assembles materials to be presented.
Instructs students in subject areas such as use, maintenance and the safe operation of tools and equipment, codes or regulations related to the Massage Therapy Program.
Instructs students in the importance of accuracy, neatness, efficiency, resourcefulness, and good work habits in obtaining employment as Estheticians.
Assigns lessons to students and corrects homework; administers tests to evaluate achievement of students in technical knowledge and practical skills.
Keeps records of daily attendance and student progress; reports to Lead Instructor and Registrar.
Presents subject matter to students, utilizing a variety of methods and techniques, such as lectures, discussions or demonstrations; ensures use of classroom time is organized and that instruction and clean-up (if applicable) can be accomplished within the allotted time.
Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts; responds to basic student questions; may initiate study groups in preparation for examinations.
Enforces classroom protocols, rules, and regulations; maintains classroom discipline; utilizes effective classroom management techniques.
Attends meetings and trainings per requirements of Lead Instructor, Program Chair or Director of Education; participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and professional development workshops.
File an appropriate course syllabus for each course taught with the appropriate Program Chair.
Conduct class evaluations and complete other college evaluations in accordance with college policy.
Make suggestions to the Program Chair concerning the improvement of the curriculum in keeping with the objectives of the college.
Complete an annual goals setting and performance review with the Program Chair, approved by the Director of Education.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Cosmetology/Esthetician licensure through applicable state board, required.
Cosmetology/Esthetician Instructor’s License required.
Must have at least three (3) years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist/esthetician and be familiar with all aspects of the industry.
Some level of teaching or training experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Knowledge on how to formulate and articulate policies, procedures, expectations, and practices.
Knowledge of basic mathematical skills such as percentages, fractions, etc.
Knowledge of educational measurement.
Familiarity with operating a calculator, copier, fax machine, television, and VCR.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must have an earned Ph.D. in History or a related field. The successful candidate will be able to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate honors History courses, as well as be able and willing to contribute to a team-taught Core/Great Texts curriculum.
Preference will be given to applicants with prior college level teaching experience, experience directing student research, and experience in honors education. The successful candidate will have demonstrated evidence of scholarly achievement.
