POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for all sonography student instruction in accordance with established policies, procedures, and established Charter College requirements.
Full Time Sonography Instructor (DMS) report to the DMS Program Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepare and provide all lecture, laboratory and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum.
* Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms for the program.
* Create an environment in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings that facilitates student learning and the achievement of desired cognitive, affective, and psychomotor outcomes.
* Help students develop as sonographers and integrate values and behaviors of those that fulfill the role.
* Use a variety of strategies to assess learning in the classroom, laboratory and clinical settings.
* Recognize their role is multidimensional and that ongoing commitment to develop and maintain competence in the role and that life- long learning is essential. Maintain professional expertise.
* Acknowledge that scholarship is an integral component of the faculty role and that teaching itself is a scholarly activity.
* Be knowledgeable about the educational environment within which he/she practices and recognizes how political, institutional, social and economic forces impact his/her role.
* Monitor student attendance and retention and document as required.
* Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled hours or by appointment.

OTHER Duties:
* Full time DMS faculty are expected to teach at least one class and clinical rotation. Contact hours directly with students should be 20-25 hours per week.
* In addition to teaching platform duties, full time faculty will be expected to engage in the following: tutoring, class preparation, curriculum development, faculty development, office hours, departmental meetings, and substitute for colleagues as assigned. There is no additional compensation for these activities.
* Faculty are expected to complete one in-service education session each quarter to improve their teaching skills and to complete professional development activities that support the profession and faculty expertise.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
* Associate degree in Sonography required bachelor's degree preferred.
* 3 Years of teaching/precepting experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques.
* Minimum three (3) years' experience as a registered Sonographer

MD/DO degree. Must have completed residency from an ACGME accredited program prior to starting employment. Board eligible/certified in Otolaryngology. If board eligible, must obtain board certification within two years of employment.

Drive trucks for guest ridealong experiences when needed
Upsell guests to purchase additional driving experiences with same and different cars and trucks
At the end of the day pull and fuel vehicles, clean trucks practicing enhanced disinfecting techniques and Raptors (inside and outside) and then park in their appropriate spot
When Briefing
Show briefing video to guests as needed
Follow provided briefing script and informs guests of track layout, driving technique, passing, speed limits
Answer and discuss any guest concerns regarding the safety of the track and cars and trucks
Ensure each guest initials, signs and dates each Acknowledgement Form before having a driving experience
Stock all necessary supplies for Briefing Room including waivers, pens, clipboards, etc.
Practice enhanced disinfecting to include washing hands, cleaning seats, chairs, reading, clipboards and pens
All other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit in a race/sports car for extended periods of time; to run; to talk and hear; to stand; to walk; to site; use hands; to see and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to regularly drive a truck of speeds up to 50 miles per hour or on a designated track and be able to withstand up to 2 G forces of motion. The employee is required to regularly drive a truck around a designated track and jump with the vehicle up to 10 feet in the air for a designated number of laps each day. Employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds; be able to work in outside temperatures of up to 120 F in summer and 30 F in winter and regularly hear loud, repetitive noise.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is part time and regularly requires early morning, late night and weekend shifts.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Two years of off road driving experience
