Job Responsibilities:
· Organize and present program of practical and technical instruction on carpentry principles, means and methods, including demonstrations of skills required in trade, and lectures on theory, techniques, and terminology. Plan and supervise work of apprentices, individually or in small groups. Observe apprentices and answer apprentice questions.
· Instruct apprentices in subject areas such as tool and equipment maintenance, building codes and regulations and safety precautions related to carpentry.

· Maintain inventory and equipment records within assigned classroom and workspace.

Course Description
Making urban areas livable, sustainable, and desirable is a top priority for governmental bodies, economists, business leaders, realtors, and many other key stakeholders. Shaping the way our society operates is a big job, and it's why urban planning is such a sought-after career. Becoming an urban planner requires a combination of sophisticated skills that includes architecture, engineering, and design. Through this course, students will explore the fundamentals of urban planning, learn how to build effective communities, and discuss the best practices of working with land (including infrastructure, water, and air) to design healthy, happy, and in-demand habitats. Additionally, students will explore how transportation, business districts, and environmental concerns impact development through hands-on experiences, like field trips. By the end of the course, students will have an acumen for discussing history, theory, and pressing social issues that impact both real estate and residents' quality of life.
Note: This class will focus on this topic from a United States perspective.

Compensation
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment.
$87.14 per hour based on minimum qualifications. Plainfield Park District is looking for a Part Time Piano Instructor to work Wednesdays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Pay Rate - $23.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on qualifications
General Purpose: Instruct private piano classes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set-up, take-down, activity implementation and safety supervision of program participants.
Supervises children and program participants to ensure that each is actively engaged, safe and
having fun.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive image by professionally addressing
questions and concerns from staff, patrons, participants and parents.
Assist in keeping supplies, equipment and facility space clean, organized and safe.
Redirect participant behavior when necessary, enforce park district rules and make sound
decisions in order to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, staff, facilities and
equipment.
Performs all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the District's safety program.
Performs any additional related tasks as required.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 18 yrs. of age.
2 years practical experience working with in the preferred program area.
C.P.R. and First Aid Certification required; ability to certify at time of hire.
Detail oriented to be able to process information accurately.
Strong interpersonal skills and work well with the public and other staff.
Ability to follow direction and work independently.
Understanding and ability to deliver good customer service.
Flexibility to assist with the physical set up and take down of events.
