The Department of Education Studies (EDST) offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs to a diverse student body. For undergraduates who are interested in becoming elementary or secondary teachers, EDST offers the Educational Foundations BA/BS and Secondary Certificate program pathways to achieve the goal of becoming a teacher. Our UOTeach Curriculum and Teaching degree is the teacher licensure master's program for initial licensure in both Elementary Multiple Subjects and Middle/High School Education. Finally, the Critical and Sociocultural Studies in Education (CSSE) Ph.D. program provides a comprehensive approach to educational research that considers the consequences of contemporary schooling systems while developing alternatives to current practices that result in systemic change. The faculty in the Department of Education Studies is diverse in terms of research interests and specializations, with award recognition for scholarship, teaching, and service. Our programs are known for a strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Position Summary
The University of Oregon's Education Studies Department (EDST) in the College of Education seeks to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill periodic vacancies for temporary teaching appointments. Instructors teach primarily undergraduate-level courses and lecturers teach primarily graduate-level courses. Positions are limited duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. Appointments may range from one to three terms per year, including summer.
Some courses meet during evenings or weekends or are delivered to distant sites via video conferencing. Some courses are offered exclusively online; in these cases, instructors should make themselves available for student contact via email, Zoom office hours, or phone in lieu of in-person office hours. Travel within Oregon and to west coast states may be required for some courses.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum qualifications for both Instructors and Lectures:
• Relevant subject matter expertise and experience by course content (e.g., childhood and adolescent studies, educational technology, literacy and reading instruction, art education, etc.)
Minimum degree requirement for Instructors:
• MA or MS or equivalent graduate-level work in Curriculum and Instruction, Teacher Education, or other research/education-related area.
Minimum degree requirement for Lecturers:
• Doctoral or terminal degree in a relevant field (curriculum and instruction, teacher education, etc.) or relevant subject area (Mathematics, Science, World Language, English, History/Geography/Political Science/Other Social Studies related field, Childhood and Adolescent Studies, Technology, Literacy, or English Language Learning).
In certain circumstances, a master's degree in a relevant field with substantial related experience may substitute for a doctorate.

Instructor is responsible for the planning and implementation of various psychology courses. Supervision Received
The dean, in consultation with the department chair is responsible for carrying out the evaluation of instructors under procedures developed by the vice president. The dean confers with the department chair in decisions regarding instructor workload, professional growth, retention, and department staffing levels.
* Instructs students in a classroom, lab, learning center, or other setting as appropriate using active learning approaches that both engage and facilitate student learning.
* Prepares, distributes, and utilizes instructional support materials, including course syllabi, supplementary materials, instructional media, and other devices as appropriate.

The School of Business is hiring an Assistant Professor of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing.
Teaching responsibilities for this position will be primarily focused on courses in the Marketing core for our undergraduate and graduate degree programs, such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Product Policy, Market Channels, Pricing Strategy, and Promotion/Advertising. We want to take this moment to acknowledge that Southern Oregon University is located within the ancestral homelands of the Shasta, Takelma, and Latgawa peoples who lived here since time immemorial. These Tribes were displaced during rapid Euro-American colonization, the Gold Rush, and armed conflict between 1851 and 1856. In the 1850s, the discovery of gold and settlement brought thousands of Euro-Americans to their lands, leading to warfare, epidemics, starvation, and villages being burned. In 1853 the first of several treaties were signed, confederating these Tribes and others together - who would then be referred to as the Rogue River Tribe. These treaties ceded most of their homelands to the United States, and in return, they were guaranteed a permanent homeland reserved for them. At the end of the Rogue River Wars in 1856, these Tribes and many other Tribes from western Oregon were removed to the Siletz Reservation and the Grand Ronde Reservation. Today, the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon (******************* and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians (**************** are living descendants of the Takelma, Shasta, and Latgawa peoples of this area. The Department of Special Education and Clinical Sciences is one of three academic departments in the College of Education (COE). It is comprised of four major programs: Applied Behavior and Analysis (ABA), Communication Disorders and Sciences (CDS), School Psychology (SPSY), and Special Education (SPED). The Department offers degrees from undergraduate to master's and doctoral, as well as licensure and endorsement programs. The Special Education and Clinical Sciences Department is involved in collaborative efforts among all COE departments and institutes to support research across the College, outreach activities, and core requirements for the master's and doctoral programs.
Position Summary
The University of Oregon's Special Education and Clinical Sciences (SPECS) Department in the College of Education seeks to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill periodic instructional vacancies for temporary teaching assignments. The department anticipates hiring instructors for undergraduate or lecturers for graduate-level courses in the following content areas: instruction and assessment; behavior management; transition; educational and psychological foundations; methods of teaching (elementary and secondary); child and adolescent studies; multicultural education; special education law, behavior assessment, educational assessment, intellectual assessment, academic and behavioral interventions, school-based consultation, developmental psychopathology, child and family interventions, principles and practices in school psychology, school-based practicum or other school psychology, research and education-related areas. Works closely with the SBDC Director and staff while providing confidential, one-on-one counseling and coaching to business owners and start-up business owners in the areas of business management, marketing, sources of capital, planning, etc. * The primary function of this position is to provide business counseling at the SBDC offices, at the site of the business, or telephone/zoom advising as appropriate.
* Conducts an initial assessment of client needs and recommended scope of training; recommends follow up appointments and recommends SBDC class registration to clients.

Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Chemistry Adjunct Instructors for the Department of Natural Sciences. This pool is created for an anticipated opening in fall 2021 as well as for future part-time adjunct faculty appointments. Appointment availability will vary from quarter to quarter as a function of student enrollment. The primary purpose of this position is to teach 100- or 200-level general chemistry laboratory and/or lecture classes, and possibly future specialized courses such as electrochemistry. Duties include providing quality instruction for daytime classes, performing grading and relevant preparation for labs and maintaining appropriate records. The successful applicants will work with other faculty, staff, and administrators to deliver an integrated learning experience in chemistry courses and will be available to teach classes on a variety of days and times.
