SEIU 32BJ Training Fund Part-time CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor (Spanish) The 32BJ Training Fund is seeking qualified candidates for part-time Spanish-speaking CPR/AED and First Aid instructors for classes taught in Boston and surrounding cities in Massachusetts. About us: SEIU 32BJ is a service union that represents cleaners, maintenance workers, service staff, and security officers in nine states on the East Coast. Our mission is to educate every member so that they have the tools they need to meet the challenges of a changing industry. Who we're looking for: Creative, dynamic teachers with good interpersonal skills who enjoy working in diverse linguistic and cultural settings. Teachers who are looking to empower workers through industry skills education. Responsibilities: Plan and implement lesson plans that are aligned to the program curriculum and incorporate the provided educational materials. Teach course content using a student-centered teaching approach. Maintain and submit records of attendance. Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor. Participate in relevant professional development activities, as available. Willingness and ability to travel independently throughout Massachusetts, including to locations not accessible by public transportation. Qualifications: High school diploma or its equivalent. Spanish fluency required. Flexible schedule - willing to work weekends and weekday evenings. CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with students from a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Ability to use digital platforms to instruct, communicate, and record program data.
