Summary
The Translational Pathology Senior Faculty Member conducts research that is closely aligned and appointed in a Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) Clinical Department. Performance expectations will be defined by rank aligned with Moffitt Research Institute standards (e.g., funding and publication) and the appropriate Appointment, Promotion & Tenure (APT) Committee based on the appropriate research scientific areas (i.e., Basic, Population, or Quantitative Science).
Position Highlights:
The faculty member will:
* Develop and maintain an active research program.
* Support their research primarily through extramural grants and publish original research reports in peerreviewed scientific journals.
* Recruit and appropriately mentor research personnel within their research program.
* Actively and collegially participate in research and research-related clinical activities, including Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) research programs.
The Ideal Candidate:
Ability to develop and maintain an independent research program that complements the Department of Translational Pathology.
Responsibilities:
* Meet specific requirements for salary coverage, extramural grant funding, publications, education, and service activities that are defined by rank in alignment with MRI expectations and within the appropriate APT Guidelines.
* Demonstrate a commitment to teaching/education and mentoring.
* Maintain a significant track record of institutional and extramural service.
* Monitors/provides input into operating expenses for a segment (project/program) of a Cost Center.
Credentials and Qualifications:
* Ph.D., in a scientific field of study that is of relevance to cancer research. In Lieu of PhD, MD/DO (or equivalent).
* Minimum of ten years in a Research Faculty position.
* Minimum of five years in an Associate Faculty level position in a field relevant to oncology.
* Experience in an academic cancer center working on research studies in their field of specialization.
* Proven excellence in research, including collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
* Achieved national prominence and to demonstrate the potential for mature scholarship.
* Achieved and sustained a position of national and international prominence.
* Evidence of outstanding mature scholarship demonstrated by accomplishments in research.
* Significant contributions in service to the research community.

Promoting and conducting joint SOF research and publishing scholarly work at operational and strategic levels, including contributions to Commander-directed classified projects (TS/SCI, ACCM).
Supporting USSOCOM's formalized research program by collaborating with PME institutions, academic organizations, and international research centers; drafting and executing the annual JSOU Research Plan; and publishing at least one major research project (monograph) or two smaller projects annually.
Providing outreach by teaching at senior PME institutions, contributing to symposia and war games, and transferring knowledge through collaboration with DoD, interagency, and academic communities.
Advancing the professional body of knowledge through active participation in conferences, symposia, and publishing, while ensuring instruction and assessments meet JSOU's institutional effectiveness standards.

Qualifications

The Computer Science Department in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Education at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors to teach courses in Computer Science. Currently, courses within the Computer Science Department are taught in person during the normal workday (8am to 5pm). Candidates should consider this before applying.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching one or two 4-hour computer science courses per semester;
Providing a meeting time for students enrolled in courses;
Modifying existing course syllabi with input from the department course coordinator;
Managing online course systems for courses (Canvas);
Providing support for academic accreditation programs (e.g. ABET); and
Entering grades into the online grading system (Workday).
The successful candidate will have:
A graduate degree with at least 18 graduate-level credit hours in computer science;
Excellent communication skills;
Teaching experience (preferred);
Demonstrated continuous self-improvement by actively pursuing discipline-related continuing education, professional development, or active participation with professional or academic organizations.

Qualifications:

2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis

This position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and the time of year, Part Time STEAM Instructor typically work between 6-30 hours per week.
