General Statement of Duties: Demonstrates and instructs continued adult education class(es) for a variety of skill levels; does related work as required.
Distinguishing Features of The Class: An employee in this classification is responsible for preparing and instructing specified adult education class(es). Work is performed under the supervision of a Supervisor who reviews work primarily on the basis of direct observation and feedback from participants. Instructors work closely with Recreation Coordinator on planning, development, class evaluation and implementation. Supervision is not a responsibility of position in this classification.

Plan, organize and instruct adult education class(es) through specific area of focus.
Provides class instruction and demonstrates knowledge, skill and ability for specified class(es) subject, including but not limited to, culinary, arts and crafts, self-publishing, urban homestead, and lectures.
Design and implement class curriculum, assist students on practice plan and varied projects.
Collaborates with Coordinator/Supervisor staff to develop, plan and schedule classes.
