Primary Purpose of Position
Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of plant specific nuclear licensed operations training programs.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Drives the clean energy center (CEC) and personnel performance improvement through the use of training. Coordinates, and conducts performance-based operations Reactor Operator (RO)/Non-Licensed Operator (NLO) training programs as required by user community in accordance with Constellation's systematic approach to training model, department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Bulletins and Information Notices, CEC design change and backfit information, CEC procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs.
Support CEC and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings.
Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high-quality training.
Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience OR
Associate's degree in a technical discipline, education, or training with 4 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience OR
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or related science, education or training with 2 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience
The requirements as outlined above meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.5.4) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

The University of Maryland Faculty Practice is seeking a full-time faculty member with specialty training in Headache and facial pain syndromes to join the Department of Neurology.
The Department of Neurology provides evaluation, treatment, and care for patients suffering from a wide range of neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and migraine. We provide care through our inpatient and consultative services, our designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, our Level 4 Epilepsy Center, our 22-bed Neuro-Critical Care Unit, and our busy outpatient practice. The Department also provides state-of-the-art rehabilitation services. A number of departmental faculty received grant funding from the National Institutes of Health and the Veteran's Administration to study the role of genetics in stroke, epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease, new brain imaging modalities in multiple sclerosis, biomarkers in multiple sclerosis, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and intellectual disability. Many of our faculty are lead investigators in clinical trials to identify new therapeutic approaches for a broad range of neurological disorders.
The faculty member will expand a multi-disciplinary outpatient practice focusing on headache, migraine and facial pain syndromes. Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient consultation as well as procedures such as chemo denervation, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, infusion protocols and alternative approaches as appropriate, as well as coordinate clinical trials related to headache. Strong collaboration with behavioral health and integrative plan services is expected. The selected faculty will participate in education and teaching of medical students and residents and to assist with launch of a headache fellowship.

Passion for math and working with students - You must be able to demonstrate your ability to do math at least through Algebra 1. Those with demonstrable ability to do higher level math (Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus) are preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills - You must be engaging and interact well with students. You should be able to inspire students to do well, create a fun learning environment and demonstrate enthusiasm in teaching math.
Eagerness to learn and be trained - You will need to complete 15-20 hours of training within one (1) month of hire.
Ability to balance various ongoing tasks - You will be required to multitask - to work with multiple students on different topics at the same time, frequently moving from one student to another. You will have to keep track of and document student work as you go. The Montgomery College, Rockville, Takoma Park/Silver Spring, Germantown is currently accepting applications for possible openings as a part-time faculty member teaching Computer, Science and Networking courses. Openings are available for daytime teaching and evening teaching. The position may also require the instructor to teach our college level courses on-site at Montgomery County High Schools to high school students during the day (Fall 2024).

During the academic year part-time faculty at Montgomery College may teach no more than 11.5 ESH (equivalent semester hour) per semester and no more than 23 ESH per academic year.
During summer part-time faculty at Montgomery College may teach no more than 10 ESH (equivalent semester hour) for both sessions combined.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach computer science networking courses, including discussion and labs, if needed.
Conduct assigned classes in accordance with the catalog description, the course syllabi, and the stipulations of the College.
Be available for student consultation.
Participate, when possible, in departmental meetings.
Hold every scheduled class, including the final examination, the full scheduled number of minutes during the scheduled time in the scheduled location.
Maintain standards of teaching consistent with the standards of the department and the College.
Submit a copy of the syllabi, along with the course materials, to the department.
Submit midterm and final grades on time.
Return final exams to the department.
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or discipline.
Strong communication skills
Proficiency with and ability to use a Learning Management System (LMS) and other web-based instructional technology to facilitate learning in a web-enhanced environment.
Demonstrated experience teaching using a variety of delivery methods, online resources and technology applications across the curriculum.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting belonging, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to contribute to the Colleges strategic plan of inclusion.
Faculty members are expected to have access to a personal computer with virus protection that can connect to the internet outside of the work location (i.e., office, classroom, college campus). About the Position:

Excellent interpersonal skills - You must be engaging and interact well with students. You should be able to inspire students to do well, create a fun learning environment and demonstrate enthusiasm in teaching math.
Eagerness to learn and be trained - You will need to complete approximately 20 hours of training within one (1) month of hire plus ongoing on the job coaching and training.
Ability to balance various ongoing tasks - You will be required to multitask - to work with multiple students on different topics at the same time, frequently moving from one student to another. You will have to keep track of and document student work as you go. You'll need to be able to correct work and provide constructive and positive feedback at all times to help bolster students' confidence in their own math abilities.
Professional demeanor and effective communication - You will be required to interact with parents, students and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner at all times. You must establish a high level of confidence and program value with Mathnasium families. You must be a positive role model for students and demonstrate the capabilities and competence that math can bring.
You must be available to work a minimum of 6-10 hours spread across at least two shifts during the week (Monday - Thursday) and one week-end shift (Saturday and/or Sunday). A maximum of 20-25 hours may be available in some cases.
Responsibilities:
Use the Mathnasium Method and teaching constructs
Maintain good availability to work at Mathnasium. Provide accurate and timely information regarding your availability.
Continuously strive to become a great instructor.
Demonstrate retention of information learned during training and staff meetings.
Be available to attend staff meetings approximately once every 4-6 weeks outside of regular instructional hours.
Teach students in a way that makes sense to them, not necessarily to you.
Be encouraging and use praise and constructive feedback appropriately.
Provide necessary support to support administrative aspects of the center and help maintain center cleanliness and order, including daily cleaning at end of day and when asked.

We are generally open for instruction:
Monday - Thursday (in center) from 3pm - 8pm (precise hours vary by location)
Saturday (some locations) from 10am - 2pm
Saturday (online) from 1pm - 5pm
Sunday (in center) - from 1pm - 6pm (precise hours vary by location)
Team meetings are usually held Sundays before we open about every 4-6 weeks.
We may also have special events that require work at a temporary location or different hours than described above.

SUMMARY
The Department of Biology and Chemistry at Washington Adventist University is seeking
candidates to expand the pool of Laboratory Instructors for afternoon chemistry laboratory

PRIMARY DUTIES
Teach laboratory content for majors and non-majors chemistry courses.
Engage in the selection of textbook and other teaching aids necessary to the instruction of laboratory courses.
Able to teach students the application of techniques used in analytical and biological chemistry, during a single laboratory session or during small laboratory projects.
Supervise and maintain laboratories and equipment.
Supervise lab safety during laboratory sessions, preparation, and clean-up.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Sciences (Chemistry or Biochemistry) from an accredited college or university.
Experience with some analytical techniques (i.e. FTIR and X-ray spectroscopy, NMR applications, HPLC, mass spectrometry, crystallization, protein purification, molecular biology and calorimetry).
Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population of students both in and outside the classroom.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Prior college or university laboratory teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge of, and commitment to, the university's philosophy and mission.
