Job Summary
The Junior C2 Instructor supports the delivery of Command and Control (C2) training at MISTC. Working under the guidance of senior instructors, this role helps plan, prepare, and deliver BSTEX and MISTC instruction that supports Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) operations and the mission of Training and Education Command (TECOM).
The Junior C2 Instructor contributes to classroom, simulation, and exercise-based training, and assists with course materials, student support, and training execution.
Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of C2 instruction in classroom, simulation, and exercise environments in accordance with approved lesson plans and training materials.
Assist senior and lead instructors with planning, preparation, and execution of BSTEX and MISTC training events.
Help set up, operate, and tear down C2 systems, supporting equipment, and classroom resources used during training.
Provide student support during training events, including answering questions within area of expertise and escalating issues to senior instructors when needed.
Assist with maintaining and updating lesson plans, handouts, slides, and other course materials as directed.
Support collection of student attendance, performance data, and feedback for After Instruction Reports and other training documentation.
Ensure all instruction and interactions with students comply with Marine Corps standards and applicable policies.
Maintain subject matter familiarity with relevant Marine Corps C2 systems, doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Participate in instructor development, coaching, and evaluations to improve instructional skills and content knowledge.
Coordinate with instructors, site leadership, and government personnel as needed to support daily training execution.
Requirements
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 or more years of experience in Marine Corps C2, operations, training, or closely related roles.
Graduation from a formal Military Instructor Development Course or equivalent formal instructor training.
Demonstrated experience delivering or supporting training for Marine Corps units or other military audiences.
Basic understanding of Marine Corps C2 systems, doctrine, and MAGTF staff processes.
Ability to follow approved lesson plans and instructor guidance while maintaining professionalism and classroom control.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and confidence speaking in front of groups.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks during training events.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting BSTEX, MISTC, or similar C2 training programs.
Experience assisting with development or revision of lesson plans and training materials.
Familiarity with training management processes used to schedule and track training events.
Experience operating and troubleshooting C2 systems and related hardware in a training or operational environment.
Travel Requirements

JOB SUMMARY
The UET Instructor provides formal classroom academic instruction, and in-water practical application, on the safe underwater use of compressed air emergency breathing devices and underwater egress from a variety of submerged training devices. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides classroom instruction on the theories of underwater egress, equipment familiarization and the safe use of compressed air emergency breathing devices.
Instructs and supervises students during underwater egress practical application exercises and the use of compressed air emergency breathing devices underwater.
Performs and documents routine maintenance and daily pre and post operational checks of various submerged training devices and the associated overhead lifting systems.
Operates overhead lifting device to raise and lower various submerged training devices with and without personnel aboard in and out of the water.
Rescues students in danger of drowning and administers first aid as needed.
Utilizes SCUBA equipment to assist students and staff underwater as needed.
Performs and documents routine maintenance of underwater emergency breathing devices.
Re-packs CO2 activated life preserver units.
Determines chlorine content and pH value of water using water testing kit and records reading.
Maintains order in pool and pool areas.
Inspect and assemble standard SCUBA equipment.
Operate a high pressure compressed air fill station.
Inspects facilities for cleanliness, cleans pool and pool areas including locker rooms.
Assists in the overall maintenance effort for general tasks that do not require specific certifications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Certificates and Licenses:
Must be Certified Rescue Diver through PADI or NAUI. Any other certifying organizations will require government approval.
Cardiopulmonary (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification from either the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association (or capable of completing the training to receive the certification)

Job Summary
The Junior C2 Instructor supports the delivery of Command and Control (C2) training at MISTC. Responsibilities
Support the delivery of C2 instruction in classroom, simulation, and exercise environments in accordance with approved lesson plans and training materials.
Assist senior and lead instructors with planning, preparation, and execution of BSTEX and MISTC training events.
Help set up, operate, and tear down C2 systems, supporting equipment, and classroom resources used during training.
Provide student support during training events, including answering questions within area of expertise and escalating issues to senior instructors when needed.
Assist with maintaining and updating lesson plans, handouts, slides, and other course materials as directed.
Support collection of student attendance, performance data, and feedback for After Instruction Reports and other training documentation.
Ensure all instruction and interactions with students comply with Marine Corps standards and applicable policies.
Maintain subject matter familiarity with relevant Marine Corps C2 systems, doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Participate in instructor development, coaching, and evaluations to improve instructional skills and content knowledge.

Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 or more years of experience in Marine Corps C2, operations, training, or closely related roles.
Graduation from a formal Military Instructor Development Course or equivalent formal instructor training.
Demonstrated experience delivering or supporting training for Marine Corps units or other military audiences.
Basic understanding of Marine Corps C2 systems, doctrine, and MAGTF staff processes.
Ability to follow approved lesson plans and instructor guidance while maintaining professionalism and classroom control.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and confidence speaking in front of groups.

The successful candidate will teach survey courses and public history and will participate in the supervision of M.A. theses and public history projects. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach courses in museum studies.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The history department is first and foremost a community of scholars who love to share their expertise with students. We not only regularly publish books and articles, our faculty also win major international grants and hold regular conferences on campus. In our teaching, we have developed challenging courses that develop and hone critical skills in research and writing. We also prioritize rich opportunities for students to engage in one-on-one research with faculty, work with community partners of important and lasting projects, study abroad, experience an internship, or otherwise explore areas of particular interest. In the classroom, we are committed to finding exciting ways to engage students. Our courses teach our students interactive ways to learn and produce rigorously researched histories. In addition to writing exciting and original essays, our students may:

* Use Storymapping and other digital programs
We are proud of the team-teaching our faculty engages in, the applied learning opportunities we provide, and the attention we give to each student.
We are especially proud of our nationally recognized unique online MA for working teachers launched in 2014.
In our Public History Program, students have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with community partners. They participate in in-depth practica learning experiences with these partners, and help create diverse historical projects displayed and used throughout the community. History graduate and undergraduate students intern or work with a dozen different regional historic sites and institutions, including Fort Fisher, The Bellamy Mansion, the Burgwin-Wright House, Wilmington Railroad Museum, The Latimer House, and Moore's Creek National Battlefield.
College/School Information
The College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (CHSSA) is home to 14 academic departments and offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs including the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts, and Master of Public Administration as well as combined bachelor's/master's degree programs in Spanish and English. The CHSSA also houses the Gender Studies and Research Center and the Academic Resource Center, which offers full-service, professional advising for all CHSSA undergraduate students.
In addition, the CHSSA offers a full complement of interdisciplinary minors and post baccalaureate certificates including: Africana studies, American studies, Asian studies, classical studies, conflict management and resolution, emergency and disaster management, forensic science, Hispanic studies, journalism, Latin American studies, medical humanities, Middle East and Islamic studies, Native American studies, professional writing and publishing, science and medical writing, and women's, gender, and sexuality studies.
The CHSSA contributes significantly to the curriculum that comprises UNCW's University Studies Program, through which all undergraduates gain a foundation in the liberal arts and develop the transferable skills essential for life in the twenty-first century. The CHSSA strives in its undergraduate programs and in its University Study offerings to nurture creative thinking, intellectual curiosity, and academic integrity in students while providing them with a solid foundation of knowledge in their chosen fields. Graduate programs in the CHSSA are designed to develop intellectual competence and to prepare the student for careers in business, industry, government, teaching or for further study at the doctoral level.
Applied learning is a hallmark of the student experience in the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts. Each of the CHSSA's departments requires an applied learning experience as a part of the curriculum for its undergraduate majors. Examples include faculty-directed research, internships, service learning, and capstone courses and projects, all of which challenge students to integrate various strands of knowledge and to apply that knowledge to broader, real-world or real disciplinary situations.
