The College for Kids Instructor will provide face-to-face student-centered instruction in thematic activities related to a range of engaging youth programs. All instructors create weekly unit plans with prepared student objectives and timed agendas following best practices for instruction and assessments.
The program seeks to guide learners developing knowledge and skills related to various engaging youth activities STEAM related activities.
The instructor will create a safe and engaging learning environment and support students with developmentally appropriate activities.
Reports to: Director of Instruction & Assessment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides high quality instruction related to increasing knowledge and skills in various activities and and providing instruction across multiple age and grade levels (ages 11-16) Utilizes a variety of instructional methods, techniques and on campus/online resources.Prepares thematic units and associated lesson plans using a contextualized and integrated curriculum.Develops unit plans and lesson plans which include the use of instructional videos, models, labs, class websites, links, challenges, games, projects for face-to-face instruction demonstrating a proficiency of best practices for youth learners.Attends initial orientation, scheduled meetings, and other duties as needed.Ensures the safety of all students in the program, including maintaining daily attendance records and completing reports as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.

The New England College of Optometry invites applications for part-time (non-benefits eligible) Adjunct Instructor Faculty for our School Screening Program, a key component of the Patient Care I (PCI) Course. The qualified applicant will have an adjunct faculty appointment (non-tenure track) in the Department of Clinical Education and Clinical Sciences at the New England College of Optometry (NECO). The Screening Instructor will be overseen by the Patient Care I Instructor of Record who reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs.
The College is a small, dynamic institution located in the historic Back Bay section of Boston and has a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and research.
Screening Instructors will lead first-year NECO students in weekly morning screening sessions at local Boston area schools in the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Generally, 2 screening instructors are paired with 10 first-year students during each 4-hour screening session.
Screening instructors can participate in as few as one screening per week or as many as 5 screenings per week on a per diem or supplemental basis. ($400/5 hours, 4 hours screenings and 1 hour admin time). Screenings are only held in the mornings (M-F in the fall, M-Th in the spring semester.)

Responsible for hosting and delivering each class to teach the skills necessary to prepare students for clinical education in the to be in the operating room.
Instruct and assess all required skills associated with student checkoffs
Collaborate with the SURG 101 instructor under the guidance of the program director to conduct the skills lab
Provide positive, constructive real time feedback to students during the lab and follow-up feedback in writing.
Responsible for setting up the lab each day while the SURG 101 instructor is teaching the didactic portion of the class
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of scrub experience in OR required
Minimum requirement: associate degree or comparable work experience in the OR required
Certificated Surgical Technologist preferred, RN's who have scrub experience eligible.

The New England College of Optometry invites applications for part-time (non-benefits eligible) Adjunct Instructor Faculty for our School Screening Program, a key component of the Patient Care I (PCI) Course. The qualified applicant will have an adjunct faculty appointment (non-tenure track) in the Department of Clinical Education and Clinical Sciences at the New England College of Optometry (NECO). The Screening Instructor will be overseen by the Patient Care I Instructor of Record who reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs.
The College is a small, dynamic institution located in the historic Back Bay section of Boston and has a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and research.
Screening Instructors will lead first-year NECO students in weekly morning screening sessions at local Boston area schools in the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Generally, 2 screening instructors are paired with 10 first-year students during each 4-hour screening session.
Screening instructors can participate in as few as one screening per week or as many as 5 screenings per week on a per diem or supplemental basis. ($400/5 hours, 4 hours screenings and 1 hour admin time). Screenings are only held in the mornings (M-F in the fall, M-Th in the spring semester.)

Definition of Non-Regular Appointment Track (NRAT) Faculty
A NRAT member is a faculty employee of the university not on regular-appointment track (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor). A NRAT faculty member is employed for a specific period of time. No existing regular appointment track faculty position shall be replaced by a NRAT faculty position. Lecturers Position Overview
Lecturers complement the efforts and qualifications of regular appointment-track faculty and allow flexibility to address programmatic needs. A lecturer may be reappointed to NRAT employment. It is expected that the salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $84,111. Current course offerings are in our organic chemistry sections including:
Organic Chemistry in the summer (July-September). (Lecture and Lab, MW 9-5 pm) Organic Chemistry lecture and lab in the Fall. (MWF 11:30 AM-12:20 PM, W 12:30-4:20)
The ideal candidate could be hired for a single section or all sections as per their availability. The department also has multiple openings for teaching General Organic and Biochemistry for non-majors and nursing majors. We are an extremely collegial department and will help with course preparation and materials if the candidate desires.
Requirements:
Master's degree required; Ph.D. preferred. Teaching experience is preferred, at either the college or high school level. Must have a laptop and reliable internet access.
