Wolfspeed is looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Technician to join our team. This position processes a high-level skill set in Instrumentation and Controls (I&C). The position allows a candidate to work on all instrumentation and controls for components, equipment and systems in a semiconductor facility. This position is responsible for the preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance and repairs of the instrumentation and controls of all associated facilities equipment.
The Day-to-Day:
Troubleshoot programming and system faults for plant equipment and modify existing programs to improve sequencingadd/modify/remove alarms, and aide in improved troubleshooting and error response within the plant PLCs, HMIs, and automated systems.Perform calibrations of Flow, Temperature, Pressure, and Humidity Transmitters.Work with Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Engineers to correct deficiencies in systems across the site.

Associates Degree from Accredited or Technical College with a combination of experience OR 5+ years of applicable experience Superior troubleshooting ability Ability to work with minimal InstructionExperience tuning PID loops Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics Proficiency and experience troubleshooting integrated HMI/PLC control systems, including proficiency evaluating/modifying associated programming and devices. Job Description
In this position, you will be performing a wide variety of duties in support of a semiconductor manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be required to work a compressed work week schedule. Your responsibilities will include:
* Working with field Instrumentation to measure temperature, humidity, pressure, flow and level. Includes air and water analytical equipment
* Developing calibration procedures and performing calibrations of process measurement and control loop systems that interface with PLCs and/or supervisory control and data acquisition software.
* Maintaining and expanding new control loops and maintenance of associated panels.
* Commissioning, startups and system integration of new facilities systems.
* Working with a preventive maintenance schedule program and all associated hardware and software.
* Supporting and maintaining established system standards and documentation for process control loops and analytical equipment.
* Record retention management standards by developing new and managing existing calibration records and documentation as needed.
* Availability to respond and support all operational user needs during emergencies, after hours, and weekends.
Qualifications
* AA/AS degree + 1 yrs. exp. in Instrumentation and Controls or relevant experience with working knowledge of automated industrial facilities systems, instrumentation, and pneumatic controls
Preferred Qualifications
* ISA technical certifications is a competitive advantage but is not a requirement.
* Extensive knowledge of field calibrations, PLC I/O configuration, and SCADA interfaces.
* Strong knowledge with electronic control systems including DDC and PLCs.
* Familiarity of facilities equipment such as; Ultra-pure water, wastewater treatment systems and HVAC.
* Knowledgeable in related operation, design, and construction standard practices.
