Reporting to the Coatings Technical Service Manager - Americas , the Coatings Lab Representative (Technical Service Representative Coatings - Americas) will be based out of Ashtabula, Ohio and will work closely with the Manager with responsibility to provide direct technical support to our Coatings Business by interfacing and building relationships with customers to define and convert opportunities or to resolve customer complaints and issues.

Complies with safety rules and regulations, attends safety meetings and training. Also, inspects work area for hazards/deficiencies and reports injury/illness and/or environmental incidents.
Design, plan and execute project elements in the laboratory, as well as in customers' plants and laboratories, as appropriate, to meet customer requirements and expectations.
Complete benchwork necessary to convert opportunities or to resolve issues.
Provide effective and timely communication and recordkeeping at every stage of a project. This will include (but will not be limited to) progress reports, updates, call reports, electronic laboratory notebook, and project milestones reached or missed.
Active support of, and participation in, all appropriate ISO 9000 Business Management System and Health Safety and Environmental aspects.
Comply fully with the quality nonconformance process for handling customer complaints and the Quality Management System, including resolution of customer complaints through 8D Root Cause Analysis and other methodologies.
Determine specification requirements for materials used in or result from research and development.

Required Experience

2+ years of hands-on experience working in a laboratory environment within a corporate or industry setting
Direct colorant and/or paint formulation experience, or specific base chemistry experience ie water, solvent, 1K, 2K, epoxy, urethane, acrylic, enamel, alkyd. etc.
Academic background in coatings chemistry, polymer chemistry, surfactant/additive technology, or rheology is desirable
Demonstrated ability for problem solving and the capacity to handle several projects simultaneously are critical.
A basic commercial understanding of business and customer priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proven computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Ability to generate and work with Excel models while simultaneously implementing new business enterprise systems. Power BI knowledge is preferred.

Position Overview
The Sales Development Representative (Rotational Development Program) is an immersive experience designed to train and develop the next generation of business development professionals. Participants rotate through all key phases of our business development process. They will start by learning the market, the industry, and our sales process, then study the basics of new business acquisition and account growth progressing into putting those skills into practice. All of this is geared towards gaining a holistic understanding of our sales strategy. As participants progress, they transition from shadowing and supporting senior team members to managing select accounts and conducting early client outreach calls.

Key Responsibilities
Participate in structured rotations across research, lead generation, outreach, appointment setting, and account engagement functions.
Develop a foundational understanding of Life Science Connect's platforms, client offerings, and the life sciences ecosystem.
Support sales team members in prospecting and appointment setting activities while learning the best practices of our sales methodology and process.
Contribute to targeted outreach campaigns under the guidance of senior sales leaders.
Gain exposure to key client conversations, strategy development, and performance measurement.
Demonstrate growth in communication, business acumen, and solution alignment through measurable performance milestones throughout the program.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Greet our patients and customers as they enter the store, identify patients needs to ensure an easy and memorable experience while providing promotional products and services available.
* Assists patients and customers to choose eyewear that best fit their budget requirements as well as eye care needs.
* Troubleshoot and identify problems related to prescription.
* Resolve customer complaints, diffuse unsatisfied patients, and provide solutions to remedy situations.
* Attain sales goals established while complying with company and local policies and procedures.
* Adhering to quality control standards including OSHA and other safety requirements.
* Ensure brand standards by performing basic housekeeping duties when necessary.
* Execute simple customer repairs, assemble lenses into frames and edge stock lenses to expedite delivery of eyeglasses, and ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.
* Ensure brand standards are met in the lab area, and notify management of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, incorrect lenses, etc.
* Keep track of delivery time commitments to patients (Now Service, Ready When Promised) to ensure 100% compliance.
* Other duties as assigned and required.

* You have 1+ year of proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service while exceeding sales goals in a fast paced retail environment
