Sell Confidence. Build Relationships. Shape the Future of Intelligent Medical Devices.
ICS is a leader in engineering services for embedded systems, IoT products, and regulated devices. For more than 30 years, we've helped Fortune 1000 companies design, build, and launch complex products-from next-generation medical devices to advanced automotive and aerospace systems.
Today, ICS is accelerating into AI, machine learning, and computer vision at the edge. We help MedTech companies explore emerging AI opportunities while ensuring safety, reliability, and FDA-aligned development. From surgical robotics to diagnostic imaging to connected therapeutic devices, our teams are enabling the next generation of intelligent medical products.
We're looking for an Account Manager based in the Boston area to expand our MedTech footprint. Someone who knows how to build trust, create opportunity, and help customers feel confident choosing ICS to solve hard engineering problems.
A strong MedTech network is a plus - but the real differentiator is your ability to build new relationships and earn credibility quickly.
What This Role Is About
This isn't selling staff augmentation.
This isn't selling add-on services to a product.
This is high-value professional services sales.
We need someone who can:
Sell complex engineering + AI development services by creating confidence, not pressure
Open new accounts within the Boston MedTech ecosystem
Build strong relationships with engineering, R&D, and innovation leaders
Bring clarity, insight, and calm to technical discussions
Collaborate closely with ICS engineering and AI experts
Be present - visiting customers, walking labs, attending industry events
If you enjoy meaningful conversations with technical leaders and want to represent a team that actually delivers, this opportunity is for you.
What You'll Do
Drive new business development across Boston-area MedTech companies
Represent ICS' engineering and AI capabilities with credibility and insight
Build long-term, trust-based relationships with engineering and R&D leaders
Work directly with ICS technical teams to scope and shape project engagements
Deliver accurate forecasting and manage a healthy, strategic pipeline
Expand existing accounts while continuing to hunt for new opportunity
Participate in MedTech and AI-oriented events, conferences, and community groups
Help evolve ICS' go-to-market strategy around AI-enabled medical devices
What Makes You Successful
Experience selling professional engineering or software development services
(NOT offshore staff aug or commodity labor models)
Familiarity with the MedTech ecosystem and regulated product development
Ability to discuss AI opportunities in medical devices (or willingness to learn quickly)
Confident speaking with technical audiences who expect clarity and competence
A relationship-driven mindset - you sell by earning trust, not out-talking people
A Boston-area presence and desire to meet customers onsite
A healthy balance of hunter instincts + account management discipline
A useful MedTech Rolodex is a strong plus - but not required
Who You Are
You're the kind of salesperson engineers actually like.
-You ask thoughtful questions.
-You build credibility quickly.
-You don't oversell, because you understand that trust is the currency of professional services.
-You enjoy being out in the field, meeting people, and turning complex challenges into clear opportunities.
You sell confidence - and you know how powerful that is.
