Dr. Nick Zenarosa, is Chief Medical Officer, founder, and the visionary behind IES. Zenarosa’s mission to improve the way healthcare is practiced across the continuum is driven by his passion to enhance the role of emergency medicine in value-based healthcare. He is intent on maintaining the value-system that drives the culture of excellence in this physician-led organization. Zenarosa serves as the Executive Chair of Emergency Medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where he oversees the ED, clinical decision unit, urgent care ED and Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Additionally, he is the System Medical Director of emergency services for Baylor Scott & White Health. Zenarosa has overseen more than 20 regional and system-level initiatives for more than one million patient visits annually. Zenarosa’s career in emergency medicine began in 1995. Since then he has served as both faculty and attending staff at multiple teaching and trauma centers throughout Texas and is currently practicing at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, John Peter Smith Hospital and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - McKinney. A fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Zenarosa received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and an emergency medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he was also the Chief Resident. Board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Zenarosa also holds a master’s degree in molecular biology and a bachelor’s degree in human physiology, both from the University of Illinois.

April Lorance is an Executive Assistant to Chief Quality Officer at Integrative Emergency Services and Practice Administrator at Integrative Emergency Services and is based in Dallas, Texas. She has worked as Scheduling Coordinator at EmCare Inc, District Transport at Forney ISD, and Senior Staffing Specialist at ENVISION HEALTHCARE CORP. April studied at Trinity Valley Community College between 2004 and 2009.

Dr. Robert M. Risch is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with over 20 years of Emergency Medicine and leadership experience. He is passionate about education, quality, and process improvement, which he implements through his numerous roles in multiple healthcare organizations. Dr. Risch serves as the Chief Quality Officer at IES and is responsible for assembling a team of clinical leaders who accelerate knowledge translation to deploy and measure numerous quality programs implemented by IES. This has been accomplished through education and clinical informatics, which provides real-time feedback to frontline Emergency Medicine physicians.

Since 2011, Dr. Risch has served as the Medical Director and Chairman of the Emergency Department at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas, a level II trauma center. He also previously served as Chairman of the Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance Best Care Subcommittee on Emergency Medicine. At IES, Dr. Risch develops and directs the annual IES Quality Summit, the largest conference in Texas, focused solely on improving the quality of care in emergency medicine through evidence-based practices. The Quality Summit is designed to share best practices with approximately 400 frontline physicians and APPs, including hospital administrators and key stakeholders, who are dedicated to enhancing healthcare delivery through emergency medicine. Dr. Risch’s particular areas of clinical focus include sepsis and trauma. Additionally, he serves as the institutional Sepsis Work Group Chairman and recently joined the Emergency Department Benchmarking Alliance Board.

Dr. Risch graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, with a degree in microbiology, attended medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received a Master in Business Administration from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, while working in a Level I Trauma Center in Savannah, Georgia. He also served on the Georgia College of Emergency Physicians Board, with expertise in clinical informatics, and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Welch began his career at KPMG LLP focusing on healthcare and insurance where his clients included Wake Forest University Baptist Health and Genworth Financial. He went on to advise private equity firms, and strategic investors at KPMG and Crowe Horwath on both buy and sell-side transactions in the United States and Europe. His work in M&A led him to the San Francisco Bay area to focus on post-acquisition integration and operational finance across a broad portfolio of technology solutions. He later applied this experience to revenue cycle management at Conifer Health Solutions where he was a Senior Director for business transformation.

A Certified Public Accountant, Welch earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from East Carolina University and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. John S. Garrett currently serves as the Chair of Emergency Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center and Chief Medical Officer of Beacon Emergency Services Team. He most recently served as Chief Patient Safety Officer and Medical Director for healthcare improvement at Baylor University Medical Center, the flagship hospital of Baylor Scott & White Health.

Dr. Garrett completed his fellowship in EMS medical directorship, disaster response, and pre-hospital research at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, and then relocated to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. His research efforts have focused on implementation science, bringing the newest developments in resuscitation science to the emergency departments of Baylor Scott & White Health, improving systems of care delivery to prevent avoidable patient harm, and the development of operational interventions to address rapid recognition of critical illness.

Jose Loza MSHI CRCR is a Chief Revenue Cycle Officer at Integrative Emergency Services and is based in Dallas/Fort Worth Area. He has worked as Director / Business Process Outsourcing at Engineering Solutions Inc, Director / Central Business Office at TENET HEALTHCARE CORP, and Director / Revenue Cycle at Conifer Health Solutions. Jose attended Investis Digital between 1999 and 2003, University of Texas at Dallas between 2000 and 2008, and College of St. Scholastica between 2015 and 2017.

As the chief nursing officer for IES, Judith Keller is responsible for clinical programs, including the implementation of ReMEDI, a proprietary resource-matching program and process for EDs. Keller’s 35 years of nursing and leadership experience brings efficiency and clarity to her work at IES. Prior to joining IES, Keller held several leadership roles in a wide range of clinical areas, where she analyzed the hospital patient flow process, consulted in EDs, oversaw hospital case management and implemented training and development for process improvement and project management. Recently inducted into the International Nurses Association, Keller earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Medical College of Georgia, a master’s degree in nursing from Georgia State University, and a doctorate in nursing practice from Walden University.

With more than 20 years of experience in emergency department support management, Victoria Feather has been with IES since its inception in 2011. As Chief Administrative Officer, she facilitates the integration of new practices into IES. Additionally, serves as a liaison between each practice and IES. Feather has worked in every facet of ED operations and has worked with several of the industry’s largest contract management groups. She started her career in scheduling and moved quickly through the ranks including roles as a recruiter, regional manager, director of operations, and director of management services. Feather earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Texas.
