The Manager Nursing plans, organizes, directs and coordinates nursing care and other activities for multiple unit(s)/department(s). This includes 24-hour responsibility for the functioning of the unit/department, management of nursing staff, fiscal management and quality improvement initiatives.

The Manager Nursing responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Directs employee performance management and provides ongoing education opportunities for staff members
* Responsible for fiscal management of unit/department
* Responsible for overall management of the staffing schedule
* May participate in a rotating staffing call schedule within service line
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice for assigned unit(s)/department(s) as well as local, state, federal, and Regulatory Agency standards
* Implements, reviews, interprets and revises all relevant Integris Health and departmental policies and procedures
* Reports to assigned leader

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
* 5 years RN experience
* Surgical Services Only: 3 years current operating room, PACU, or outpatient surgery experience, with 1 year prior management experience
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 24 months
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
* RN (Registered Nurse) Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state
* BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire

The Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) at Norman Regional Health System provides specialized, high-acuity care to patients with cardiac conditions, both pre- and post-procedure. Oklahoma Heart Hospital's paid Nurse Extern Program is a truly unique, hands-on learning opportunity for nursing students prior to their final year of nursing school. The program offers nursing students the opportunity to perform a variety of nursing treatments in a cadiovascular environment, utilize state-of-the-art technology and practice assessment skills under the direction and supervision of an experienced Registered Nurse.

Once the Externship has been completed, OHH has the option to retain the Nurse Extern while he/she completes his/her last year of nursing school. Qualifications

This position provides the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care.
In this high acuity area, you will be on a team who:
Provides comprehensive care in a CVICU and/or Transplant ICU setting, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of critically ill patients.
Manages patient care through daily rounds, formulating care plans, placing orders, adjusting treatment plans, and performing various procedures.
Work closely with heart failure, CT surgery, vascular surgery, and transplant specialists in managing complex patient populations.
