KEY RESPONSIBILITIES System & Network Design: Plan, design, and implement computer networks (LAN/WAN) and integrated systems that support both operational and developmental needs. Agile Development & Collaboration: Work within Agile teams, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and use Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions on time. Actively engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of system architecture and design with mission objectives. Configuration & Management: Configure, manage, and optimize network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Network Security: Implement and manage security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols to safeguard critical systems and data. Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance system reliability and efficiency. Collaboration & Communication: Partner with IT, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to align network and system solutions with organizational requirements. Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Innovation & Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve network performance and security. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Strong background in LAN/WAN design, routing, and switching technologies. Hands-on experience configuring and managing network security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS). Proficiency in network troubleshooting and performance optimization. Experience with Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies. Familiarity with systems engineering concepts and best practices. Active Secret clearance required at time of hire. Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance if needed. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contracting requirements. Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Ability to work onsite due to the classified nature of the project and travel up to 20%. Perform tasks related to media control, audits, and classified/unclassified data handling. Help automate routine system processes using scripting tools. Preforms other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in a related field with no prior experience required. Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required at time of hire Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance as required by program needs. Certifications: Security+ required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contracting requirements. Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with RMF processes and cybersecurity compliance. Basic understanding of system hardening and STIG/Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools. Exposure to virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) and performance monitoring tools. Ability to read and write simple automation or shell scripts (Bash, PowerShell, etc.). Experience with collaboration and ticketing tools such as Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
