• Design/Capture electrical schematics and guide the board layouts.
• Perform electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis.
• Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world class avionics systems.
• Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and generation, review and presentation of Product Certification, and also support system level testing. To be effective in this role, you will need:
• Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
• Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.

• Missile design experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience in electronics design, with a focus on CCA design and development.
• Experience as a technical lead or responsible engineer.
• Active Secret clearance thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Experienced at leading teams through challenging engineering and/or programmatic issues.
• Experience on Space and/or Missile Defense Missions.
• Experience in electronic systems schematic creation and interpretation, and Electronics Modeling/Simulation Tools such as SPICE.
• Experience in schematic capture using Zuken or similar tools.
• Experience with PSPICE, Saber or other electronics simulation tool experience.
• Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis).
• Demonstrated good communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.

Spacecraft GNC Hardware Engineer Summary/Responsibilities:
Northrop Grumman's Tactical Space Systems is seeking a motivated and driven engineer tp will fill the position of Spacecraft Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) cognizant engineer. This is a hardware position, and focuses on the procurement, integration, and testing of GNC flight hardware components. NGSP GNC is procuring, designing, building, integrating, and testing spacecraft components for a mix of DoD, NASA, and commercial customers. We are leaders in innovative solutions to the rapidly growing/evolving fields of space based autonomous rendezvous and docking and rapid design/production of small satellites. We are seeking a highly talented and ambitious hardware Engineer to procure, integrate and test GNC components to ensure that they will meet our spacecraft requirements. The hardware engineer will work within the GNC subsystem team and under the supervision of the GNC subsystem lead.
A spacecraft GNC component engineer is expected to:
Perform GNC component trade studies (including make/buy trades and supplier identification/research). These components may include but are not limited to star trackers, lidars, GPS receivers, sun sensors, reaction wheels, IR cameras, inertia reference units and space based visible cameras.
Work with the subcontracts/supply chain team as the technical lead to manage procurements, documentation, and design reviews.
Work closely with multiple suppliers (domestic and international) to monitor procurement, manufacturing, and testing.
Work closely across multiple subsystems, and present to managers and customers relevant GNC component data and/or reports. Communication is a critical element of your role.
Be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Lead the effort between the component supplier, program, and subsystems to close out component related test failures and issues as they occur.
Travel to and support launch site activities.
Create and test component level scripts to verify the functionality of GNC components and work with team to integrate the components into the spacecraft
Be flexible with shift work during different phases of the program
All GNC engineers are expected to:
Apply engineering principles, industry standards, company process, and knowledge of vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, propulsion, classical/modern control, and estimation theory to perform tasks to advanced program/project goals
Document designs, analysis, and test results and create presentation materials
Present designs, analysis, reviews, and test results to internal and external customers
Work well within small- to medium-sized groups

Basic Qualifications:

Northrop Grumman is seeking a technical leader to act as our Electrical Systems and Command & Data Handling (C&DH) Subsystem Engineer. You will be responsible for the Electrical System design, architecture, and the required avionics that control the spacecraft's functions, manage data flows, both internal and with external systems, storing data, receives commands and transmits data to earth or other satellites.
Candidate should have a strong Electrical Engineering background and the ability to support a broad range of Electrical Engineering activities, ranging from box-level design support to system-level architecting. This customer-facing position supports the program / project staff in the analysis, investigation and resolution of engineering electrical systems problems, subsystem requirements development, and schedule management as required by the program. You will collaborate with team members from multiple subsystems and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to achieve a system that meets requirements. This can include Program Management (PM), Chief Engineer (CE), Lead Systems Engineer (LSE), Electronic Power Systems (EPS), Integration and Test (I&T), early career individuals and customer counterparts at various level.
At a higher level, we will expect you to define, articulate, and flow down customer requirements to other team members and staff regarding the systems you support. You may also be asked to manage budgeting and schedules, lead the C&DH subsystem team delivering qualified avionics hardware that meet customer requirements to the Integration and Test team, and act as the customer-facing representative of the project for the C&DH subsystem. At the highest levels, you will act as a systems architect to system and hardware development as well as manage the team supporting your project.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** :
+ Develop and evaluate C&DH electrical system architecture alternatives in concert with the broader systems engineering effort to select an electrical-system architecture that meets the customer's needs.
+ Performs requirement analysis and decomposition of customer requirements into hardware and software specifications and establish subsystem or system-level electrical verification method and plans.
+ Performs analyses to evaluate all levels of the system to ensure a cohesive electrical-system solution throughout the development lifecycle (concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal).
+ Manages the internal & external flight-vehicle electrical interfaces and develops the corresponding subsystem or system-level interconnect/block diagrams, grounding diagrams, and support electrical schematics and global connectivity list development for the flight vehicle on programs as needed.
+ Perform electrical interface compatibility verifications and verify electrical connectivity implementation (e.g. verify electrical harness implementation, safety-critical circuit segregation, support peer-reviews).
+ Oversees the technical planning, design integration, product integration, verification, and validation efforts for the CDH electrical-system elements throughout the development lifecycle. Influences the electrical-system design to facilitate electrical testing at the component, subsystem, and flight-vehicle levels, with the aim to enable automated testing where applicable.
+ Provides technical coordination of vendors and suppliers. Review suppliers "as-planned", "as-designed", and "as-built" documentation (e.g. interface control document, derating analysis, worst case analysis, qualification test plan and procedure, acceptance test plan and procedure, test report).
+ Manage hardware command and telemetry implementation (e.g. develop and coordinate calibration and conversion curves for analog telemetry in coordination subsystem engineers, verify electrical/software implementation).
+ Identify Electrical Systems and C&DH risks, develop risk mitigation plans for selected risks, and implement mitigations.
+ Contribute to assembly integration and test activities (e.g. electrical test requirements development, anomaly investigations/resolutions).
+ Interfacing with design and manufacturing groups to monitor component production process/progress to include Integration & Test (I&T) and relaying that status to management along with potential solutions to stay on target.
+ Provide technical oversight to ensure the C&DH electrical system is compliant and verifiable at the avionics digital and analog telemetry level.
+ Lead the costing & scheduling development for the C&DH subsystem on major programs from initial RFP efforts through end of program life. Develop cost estimates for proposals and programs as required.
+ Candidate must be comfortable with managing program execution from a Technical perspective, meeting deadlines, working on multiple projects concurrently, and working with various engineering disciplines and internal/external customers as required.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM area (preferably Electrical Engineering) and 14 years of relevant work experience, 12 years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree, or 9 years of relevant work experience with a PhD.
+ Technical experience in Electrical Systems or C&DH subsystem Engineering.
+ Experience with flight hardware development, including Material Review Boards (MRB), Parts, Materials & Processes (PM&P), procurement, assembly documentation, and End Item Data Packages (EIDP).
+ Hands-on mentality and a passion for fast-paced environments.
**Preferred Qualifications** :
+ Experience leading teams of engineers managing resources and schedules.
+ Experience with requirements tracking tool such as DOORS or CAMEO.
+ Digital design experience.
+ Experience developing FPGAs.
+ Strong verbal and written communications skills.
+ Experience with creating and tracking schedules using project tracking tools such as Microsoft project
+ Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and creating variance reports.
Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $256,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. **The Work:**
As a Hardware Engineer you will:
- Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions
- Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors
- Ensure that problems with operational hardware have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user's requirements
- Assist with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides

- Develop hardware installation schedules based upon set\-up, integration, and test timelines
- Train site personnel in proper use of hardware

**Basic Qualifications:**

Lockheed Martin is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer within the Special Test Equipment (STE) organization to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM)
Program located at Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT) located in Kings Bay, GA. Our team assembles and tests the Trident II D5 Missile which is carried aboard the Ohio Class Submarines and is the major contributor to the United States strategic deterrence. This exciting position will support, maintain, and troubleshoot existing test equipment as well as activate and support all new test equipment located at the Missile Integrated Support Facility (MISF) at SWFLANT. MISF is the primary assembly and test location for the avionics packages used on Trident II D5 Missile.
The candidate will provide engineering services related to the Special Test Equipment (STE) used during the qualification, verification, and acceptance testing of avionics packages. The candidate will be working under the direction of senior engineers to analyze test results, troubleshoot electrical systems, diagnose failures, contribute to Failure Review Boards (FRBs), perform project planning, and prepare reports.
Must be a US Citizen. This position will require obtaining a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
The position may require periodic or unscheduled overtime and/or nonstandard workweek depending on program schedule requirements and equipment availability.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience in a technical support role, or equivalent experience/combined education.
* Experience with troubleshooting electronics test systems.
* Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Cannot be a dual citizen.
Desired Skills:
* Experience in documenting and troubleshooting automated test failures/anomalies, executing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective action
* Experience developing and/or sustaining automated test system hardware configuration
* Experience with environmental test equipment such as temperature chambers, shock & vibration systems (including amplifiers), water cooling systems, or pressure chambers
* Experience writing test procedures
* Familiarity with hardware communication interfaces such as MXI, PXI, VXI, GPIB, TCP/IP, etc
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
* Ability to interpret and analyze electrical interconnect and circuit schematic diagrams. Understanding of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals is required.
* Experience and understanding of a variety of software languages, such as C
* Familiar with National Instruments hardware, or other data-capture hardware.
* Ability to prepare technical presentations and present to peers.
