What you'll be doing:
* Perform and coordinate both Electrical and Physical Failure Analysis efforts to assist in product development, design debug, yield improvement, final test, quality on various NVIDIA products.
* We apply advanced EFA principles and operate EFA tools such as Curve Tracer, Emission-based analytical tools, Laser Scanning Microscopy, and imaging tools (3D Xray, CSAM, etc.) for fault isolation and analysis.
* Communicate effectively EFA fault isolation findings and provide timely assistance to PFA teams (in-house or foundry and assembly partners) to root cause the problems.
* We collaborate closely with Product Engineering and Test Engineering teams to verify and duplicate failures modes of failures that are reported on ATE, SLT, and appropriate test setups.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve production test program quality and efficiency.
* Actively participate in multi-functional teams to efficiently debug product failures and implement optimal solutions.
* We write and maintain scripts and tools for the test engineering groups to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
What we need to see:
* Master's degree or higher in electronics or related engineering fields (or equivalent experience).
* 8-10 years of proven experience in Failure Analysis or related fields.
* Proficiency in basic electrical engineering and testing, transistor device physics, silicon device analysis, sophisticated CMOS manufacturing/processes, circuit analysis, and automated test equipment (ATE).
* Ability to understand and/or operate tools for silicon inspection, cross-section, delayering, material analysis (Scanning Electron Microscope, Focused Ion Beam, Nanoprobing, etc.) is a plus.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to participate optimally in diverse teams.

* Demonstrate proficiency in sophisticated backside analysis techniques and use of innovative analytical instruments.
* Showcase experience in analog circuit design, PLLs, and system-level testing/validation.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 140,000 USD - 224,250 USD for Level 4, and 160,000 USD - 258,750 USD for Level 5.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated FA engineer to join us. You will play a leading role developing Chip-Debug and Fault-Isolation via Optical-Fault-Isolation and emerging techniques like scanning-focused-X-ray (XADA). This will include experimentation, guiding development of custom supporting HW, workflow development, and training of other users. You will be embedded in the Logic-Fault-Isolation group and work closely with our test HW group, mechanical design and tool vendors.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the enablement of XADA and existing NIR and Thermal OFI tools for future technology nodes based on experimentation with different test-chips and existing products, to get ready for future product support.
You will need to understand our optical FI workflow and work with our PFA team to guide sample-preparation development.
Your responsibilities will include workflow development, user training and collaboration with the XADA tool vendors, driving SW & HW improvements and new feature development.
Additionally, you will work with nvidia internal HW designers and external vendors regarding development of suitable test- and cooling-HW.
What We Need To See:
Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 12 years of experience in FA, at best with hand-on experience in technique enablement and development of supporting HW for Fault-Isolation.
Knowledge of failure analysis techniques and methodologies.
Basic understanding of scan-chain based test (DFT) and some experience in operation Automated Test Equipment (at best on Advantest 93k and/or Teradyne UFP).
Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, IC design, and fabrication processes.
Experience with EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools and layout editing software.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex circuit issues.

* Lead Cu backplane RDL design, layout, fabrication, and integration.
