Key Responsibilities
Performs Methods Engineering analysis including process design, time and motion study, and recommends manufacturing line improvements.
Leads in I.E. projects and programs within areas of responsibility. Assists in the implementation of these projects into business with quality tools, supporting processes and ongoing measures for success. Provides cost analysis and return on investment calculations associated with project selection.
Leads ergonomics / human factors evaluations, recommends and implements improvements to work area designs.
Develops and implements manufacturing facility design of plant layout, material handling systems, material staging and warehousing as desired.
Supports strategic implementation of product introductions into volume manufacturing by providing PLC/ePLC deliverables which include manufacturing line design and set up, material flow design, new tooling development and deployment of specialized tooling and fixtures. Collaborates with other engineers to develop specialized solutions for the transport of modules, assemblies and mainframes through the factory.
Serves as a role model and sets the example, whose behavior is emulated by other engineering team members. (Safe behavior, follow proper protocols and procedures, including core values).
Calculates and maintains capacity data for materials processing, people, space, and equipment associated with production. Provides guidance to manufacturing and logistics related to effective and efficient use of assets and production processes.
Establishes standards and procedures for multiple functions.
Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

**Overview**
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Industrial Engineering Manager is responsible for modernizing and innovating the manufacturing and operations practices of the Deployables OU to achieve strategic objectives. This position will be responsible for continuous improvement efforts, capacity and manpower modeling, capital expenditure projects, and factory planning projects aligned with business strategies. **Role and Responsibilities:**

**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with eight years' experience performing Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering functions
+ Experience leading Continuous Improvement and/or Lean initiatives resulting in cost savings/cost avoidance
+ Proven experience leading teams or projects
+ Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Lean Agile methodologies
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Power Point

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:
* 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
* 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco
* Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
* Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
* 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
* Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
* Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
* .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
* 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
* 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
* Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

**Qualifications include:**
+ MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 6+ years or PhD with 3+ years of experience in digital signal processing design for SerDes and serial link high-speed data center networking.
+ Deep understanding of DSP based optical and electrical interconnect architectures such as 100G/200G/400G per lane PAM4 and NRZ design trade-offs to drive attainment on metrics such as performance, power, and cost over the project lifetime.
+ Experience translating CDR and equalization architectures into Verilog code for logic synthesis.

This is a specialized position responsible for Product Engineering program technical planning for next-generation AMD Embedded security, configuration, boot & debug features. This individual serves as a critical technical point of contact to the business, design, platform validation and product engineering teams. THE PERSON:
A successful candidate is one who can drive technical decisions independently, has accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project's success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Drive security, boot, configuration and debug planning for custom ASIC & broad market products projects.
* Collaborate with architecture and design teams to address security/boot/config/debug requirements.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution.
* Contribute to security strategy and compliance for future projects requiring integration of HWRoT, FPGA, and BMC technologies.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
* Experience in configuration, boot, debug, and security planning for ASICs, ASSPs or FPGA-based systems.
* Familiarity with custom ASIC development and security protocols.
* Strong collaboration skills to work across architecture, design, and product teams.
* Ability to obtain security clearance
* Knowledge of debug methodologies for complex SoCs and custom ASICs
* Exposure to security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g. ISO21434, IEC 62443 & CRA) in semiconductor development.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
* Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or comparable disciplines.
