Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a threat intelligence or related cybersecurity role. Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII, Cyber Kill Chain). Experience with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) like MISP, Recorded Future, Anomali, or ThreatConnect. The ideal candidate will serve as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst within the federal client's Cybersecurity Division - Cyber Integration Center. A highly motivated individual with strong technical, communication, and organizational skills will succeed on this program. The mission of the federal client's Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) program is to produce and deliver relevant, accurate, and timely curated information (cyber threat intelligence) so that the federal client can proactively implement countermeasures to better inoculate itself from potential cyber threats. The CTI Team gathers information on adversarial behaviors and tactics, including indicator of compromise (IOC) and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) lists and provides this information to the client's threat hunting team, as well as the SOC and other organizations where applicable. In addition to gathering information on current threats, the CTI team also configures and maintains a consistent ingestion of IOCs into the federal client's SIEM for detection and analytical purposes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform research using open-source and classified Cyber Threat Intelligence sources to identify and track Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), malware packages, and exploitable vulnerabilities. Identify and prepare profiles on any threats or topics that are applicable to the client. Provide the in-house Threat Hunting & Forensics (THF) Team with Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and other background information about threats relevant to the client. Assist the THF Team and the client's Security Operations Center (SOC) in the development of new and specific detection techniques for the profiled threats. Notify appropriate stakeholders of items of concern, such as unpatched vulnerabilities, attack surface exposures, and other threats discovered in the research process. Ongoing maintenance of the Cyber Threat Intelligence SOP to revise processes and reporting methods. Maintain consistent awareness to industry trends and topics, including available cyber security intelligence tools, blog posts, and news postings. This will also include monitoring of various social media platforms for any emerging threats, as well as contra-reputational information posted about the client. Prepare professional written deliverables and oral presentations for the client's senior leadership on profiles, threats, metrics and trends as required. Adapt to dynamically changing priorities, based on severity of threats, leadership requests, or sources of information. Cultivate professional relationships with other organizations, internal departments, and stakeholders, exchanging information and findings as appropriate. Process controlled information reports from CISA as required. Develop a proactive method of monitoring Darknet sources for information which may indicate a threat or item of concern for the client. Monitor and maintain a cloud-based MISP installation, indicator ingestion, and evaluate new threat feeds for MISP. Evaluate any new threat intelligence tools, retail or open source, that may be of benefit to the client. Track work progress and metrics using Azure DevOps. Opportunity: Journeyman Intelligence Analyst Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking a Journeyman Intelligence Analyst to support the United States (U.S.) Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) mission by conducting advanced analysis of multi-source intelligence to produce timely, accurate, and actionable assessments. Building on prior experience, the Analyst develops analytic products and contributes to decision-making at tactical, operational, and strategic levels. The Analyst also mentors junior staff and supports the integration of intelligence into operations and planning. Location: ARCENT/513th MIB; Augusta, GA Level of Effort: Full-time Availability: Must be available to support a start date of 1 February 2026. Objective: The Journeyman Intelligence Analyst will support the United States (U.S.) Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) in execution of its mission to provide: (a) operational intelligence and security forces; (b) conducting and synchronizing worldwide Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and security operations; (c) delivering linguist support and intelligence; and (d) other specialized capabilities in support of Army, Joint, and Coalition Commands and the U.S. Intelligence Community. Moreover, the Journeyman Intelligence Analyst will support the broader contract mission objectives to: Operationalize OSINT for the Department of the Army and for the Intelligence Community including defense, civilian, and partner nation intelligence organizations; Inform and implement Army policy as well as provide access to, training for, and management and oversight of enterprise-approved OSINT capabilities for the Army and the broader Intelligence Community; Provide OSINT capabilities that meet the Army's demands and requirements; Provide OSINT or Publicly Available Information (PAI) research collection, dissemination, curation, capabilities, operations, and training support. Candidates applying to this position should anticipate responsibilities such as: Conduct in-depth all-source analysis of adversary capabilities, activities, and intentions across regional and functional problem sets. Produce and deliver intelligence reports, threat assessments, and briefing materials tailored for commanders, senior leaders, and interagency partners. Identify intelligence gaps and develop collection requirements to support ongoing operations and future planning. Apply structured analytic techniques (SATs) to evaluate information and mitigate cognitive bias. Support Indications and Warnings (I&W) monitoring, current intelligence reporting, and crisis response. Contribute to Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield/Operational Environment (IPB/OE). Collaborate with intelligence community (IC), combatant command, joint, and interagency partners. Train, mentor, and provide quality control of products generated by junior analysts. Participate in working groups, planning teams, and special analytic projects. Required Qualifications: TS/SCI Security Clearance Required 4-8 years of relevant intelligence analysis experience within DoD, INSCOM, or the IC. Proficiency with IC research tools, databases, and analytic software. Demonstrated ability to brief senior leaders and produce clear, concise, and accurate intelligence products. Strong analytic skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Preferred: Experience supporting deployed operations or overseas missions is preferred. Preferred: Regional expertise (e.g., CENTCOM, EUCOM, INDOPACOM) or functional expertise (e.g., counterterrorism, counterintelligence, cyber, near-peer threats). Certifications, Training, & Education: Bachelors or Masters in Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
