Position Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting in the administration of Loss Prevention processes and procedures designed to protect and control the physical assets of the Company and to maintain overall physical security of the facility Responsible for assisting in the administration of processes and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment for employees and other associates Responsible for assisting in controlling access at all entrances and screening credentials of visitors, job applicants and contractors who are requesting access to the facility Responsible for assisting in controlling inbound and outbound shipments to and from the facility to include recording information on log sheets, following truck seal procedures and inspection of Bills of Lading (BOL) and other applicable paperwork Responsible for assisting in the administration of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all appropriate federal, state and local laws or ordinances Responsible for helping maintain various CTPAT best practices as part of the Loss Prevention program at the facility Responsible for responding to alarms or other critical conditions at the facility Responsible for completing various reports/forms documenting accidents, safety violations, shortages and other incidents as required Responsible for assisting in internal/external investigations as needed Direct response of emergency personnel to fire, accident or other related emergencies at the facility Responsible for assisting in parking lot security for employees and their automobiles, as well as the security of all Company trucks and trailers by utilizing padlocks and glad hand locks as required Responsible for assisting in assuring adequate maintenance and placement of fire extinguishers, as well as periodic inspection of existing sprinkler and smoke alarm systems and assist in annual fire drills Responsible for assisting in periodic security and safety audits/inspections and help verify that the facility is compliant with OSHA and insurance carrier/risk control requirements Responsible for assisting in assuring proper safety processes and procedures are followed at the facility Essential Skills and Experience: High school degree or equivalent is required One year of experience in loss prevention, security or a law enforcement capacity Good communication skills (written and oral) in order to effectively communicate and report information to all levels of the Company Ability to handle confidential information Ability to prioritize work and answer questions related to work assignments Ability to work with minimal supervision Good computer skills Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and have the ability to perform the job under a low to moderate level of stress Willingness to be potentially exposed to moving mechanical parts and tools, moving powered industrial equipment, moving vehicles, fumes or airborne particles, high places, changing weather conditions and moderate to high noise level in a Distribution Center environment
