The C5I Systems Military Analyst provides system-focused support to U.S. Navy CONUS and OCONUS fleet concentration areas. Fleet Technical members provide recommendations to "real-time" readiness issues as well as design specifications, procedures, policies, and ship alterations review in support of the Navy.
As part of an exclusive team, you will work closely with NAVSEA Cognizant Engineers, Technical Community and Type Commanders (TYCOMS). The team enhances NAVSEA'S mission of Fleet Technical Readiness support by providing focused support to in-service ships combat systems C5I issues in planning, coordination, and execution of ship modernization initiatives in alignment with the Navy Modernization Process Management and Operations Manual (NMP-MOM). This role ensures compliance with established governance, configuration management, and modernization milestones to deliver operational improvements efficiently and effectively and an understanding of Navy Modernization Process principles and documents to provide both the technical approval and execution perspective, ensuring the Fleet attains its goal of assessing life-cycle sustainment cost and performance ensuring government accountability for sustainment efforts. Minimal travel is expected.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Support the Navy SCD Modernization Process Management and Operations Manual (NMP-MOM) to ensure compliance with established governance, configuration and modernization efforts.
+ Provide primarily C5I material readiness support to combatant and amphibious U.S. Navy ships, both CONUS and OCONUS, in execution of Readiness Evaluations as a representative of NAVSEA.
+ Support the review, and refinement of the Ship Change Document (SCD) per the Navy Modernization Process (NMP) utilizing the Navy Data Environment (NDE) website.
+ Prepare and process tracking spreadsheets to reflect current implementation status and facilitate milestone reporting for modernization schedules and deliverables.
+ Ensure modernization tracking practices align with Navy Modernization Process Management and Operation(NMP-MOM) standards and Navy governance boards.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to validate technical requirements and integration plans.
+ Assist in developing class specific ship alteration documents providing recommendations for modernization that can be implemented during availability planning.
+ Interact directly with the Technical Community in planning and prioritizing maintenance and modernization efforts, which will lead to material improvement.
+ Provide written assessments of material condition, C5I/combat system readiness, preparation of PowerPoint Briefs, Excel Spreadsheets to track ships progress in support of the Fleet.
+ Make improvement recommendations and participate in Technical Meetings to capture meeting minutes, comments, concerns, Lessons Learned.
+ Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and metrics summarizing modernization process performance and improvement initiatives for leadership decision-making.
**To be successful in this role, you will have:**
+ Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
+ Bachelor's degree.
+ 5+ years relevant work experience.
+ In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years of documented hands-on Navy shipboard AEGIS / C5I experience or shipboard applicable military work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable Naval experience for positions involving new technology.
+ 2+ at sea tours hands-on experience with AEGIS and C5I.
+ Experience with Combat System C5I System Maintenance and Repair schdules.
+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasking and oral representation at technical meetings in operation and maintainance of C5I related equipment and support systems.

This is protective service work at the trainee level in providing security in correctional facilities. Work requires a knowledge of techniques, methods, and procedures involved in correctional security, which involves the use of specialized skills or specialized equipment which is learned on the job and through specialized training. Contacts require basic courtesy, tact, and effectiveness in dealing with others, and includes contacts to request or provide information, ask questions, or obtain clarification. The work is routine following established routines, standing instructions, and established procedures, but some variation in the sequence of procedures used is permitted based on situations encountered in the workplace. The correctional security work is patterned involving similar situations and generally requiring only the choice of the correct procedure. Work is performed in a somewhat uncontrolled environment, where risks and hazards are substantial, but are known, somewhat predictable, and mostly controllable. Operates motor vehicles, electronic security and monitoring equipment, firearms, chemical agents, restraining devices, breath analyzer, and metal detectors, as well as standard office equipment such as personal computers. The physical demands consist of standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time and sometimes involve physical exertion to restrain inmates or quell a disturbance. Agricultural Law Enforcement Officer Duties:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for law enforcement activities as specified in Section 570.65, Florida Statutes. These acts include, but are not limited to, criminal violations involving: domesticated animals, livestock, poultry, aquaculture products, farms and farm equipment, livery tack, citrus and citrus products, trespass, littering, forests, theft of forest products, protection of consumers, all criminal laws and civil traffic laws committed on property owned, managed, or occupied by the department, any emergency situation in which the life, limb, or property of any person is placed in danger and any crime incidental to or related thereof. Each law enforcement officer shall meet the qualifications of law enforcement officers established by Chapter 943, Florida Statutes.
