Company Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis As a Law Enforcement Officer, you will report to an Assistant Manager and help protect Bank property, valuables, and staff. * Proficiency in use of personal computer (PC) and related software, computerized physical access control systems, video surveillance systems, x-ray and metal detection equipment, various alarm systems and automated external defibrillators.
* Responds to general alarm, provides emergency service and follows response protocol until the alarm or situation has been resolved.
* Prepares logs and input information pertaining to incident and daily activity reports in prescribed format.
* Monitors x-ray and metal detectors or utilizes metal detection wands to scan visitors, personal items, and packages for unauthorized items.
* Monitors and authorizes visitors accessing the Bank facilities and records visitor data on appropriate logs.
* Monitors surveillance equipment, radios, intercoms, telephones and other specialized equipment.
* Inspects vehicles entering secure areas for unauthorized personnel and contents.
* With assistance of senior FRLEO or supervisors, may conduct initial investigations into accidents and incidents, make proper notifications to shift supervisor in charge and perform follow up duties as directed.

Qualifications:

Conducts apprehensions within established policies and guidelines. Communicates with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives. Identifies and resolves internal and external theft.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
Protects the Company's assets to include the associates, Merchandise, and Property.

Completes the daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs. Maintains positive relationships with Store Management. Conducts apprehensions within established policies and guidelines. Communicates with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives. Identifies and resolves internal and external theft.
* Adheres to established shoplifter guidelines and policies
* Provides timely, courteous and knowledgeable service to customers
* Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
* Observes, apprehends, and/or deters any acts of dishonesty from outside sources
* Participates in investigations and surveillance as assigned
* Ensures apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity
* Completes and distributes paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
* Maintains appropriate evidence, demonstrates understanding of law enforcement procedures and professionally participates in legal activities as needed (e.g., police calls, etc.)
* Coordinates and complete shrink related activities in partnership with Store Management
* Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
* Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
* Encourages Associate use of shrink reduction resources
* Promotes safety awareness and supports maintenance of a safe environment
