WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Under the direction of the BSA Risk Manager, responsible for the periodic BSA internal controls testing function of the of the Bank's BSA risk assessment program. Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and escalating issues and concerns related to BSA, AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act components of the Bank's BSA Program while utilizing sound and current compliance industry standards and practices. May assist in the development of new and/or updates policy and procedures related to BSA, AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act Bank wide. Plays a key role as a liaison with colleagues throughout the organization related to BSA, AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers while providing exemplary customer service.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Carries out compliance monitoring, internal controls risk assessments, and internal controls testing program ensuring that there are adequate processes, procedures and internal controls to promote an effective BSA control environment, under the guidance of the BSA Risk Manager. Prioritizes focus toward areas identified as having the highest levels of risk to the company.
Works directly with business units and support management as a consultant in the development of business unit's risk self-assessment programs.
Performs scheduled and periodic testing of overall business processes and controls related to the implementation and management of the bank's products and services, including geographic considerations to identify compliance gaps and potential risk exposure.
Analyzes and evaluates compliance risks and recommends changes to policies, procedures, and processes to reasonably ensure risk-based and appropriate controls are instigated and maintained.
Assists in the development of new and/or updates policy and procedures related to BSA, AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act Bank wide. Also, partners with business units for the development of departmental policy and procedures.
Partners with business units to remediate BSA, AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act compliance findings identified in risk assessments, internal audits and/or regulatory examinations.
Performs daily activities of assigned functional area; prioritizing; completing multiple activities; resolves problems as they arise.
Ensures activities are in compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and CNB policy and procedure.
Communicates and escalates (as assigned) identified BSA, AML, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act operational concerns to the appropriate level of management.
Maintains an up-to-date Master Compliance Audit Follow-up Log for outstanding BSA-related Audit and OCC Examination issues, and the BSA Risk Assessments Open Issues Log.
Integrates activities with other departments to accomplish common goals.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Bank policies, procedures and industry best practices.
Participates in and completes bank-wide projects.
Serves as resource (as needed) to internal and external customers; ensures quality customer service and effective and efficient operational support.
Applies both technical and general business knowledge to resolve the most complex issues in assigned function.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Responsible for performing testing of moderate to complex components of assigned engagements within the Financial Crimes Compliance Monitoring Program and/or Annual Test Plan
Performs review and challenge of self-assurance activities conducted by the First Line of Defense
Assesses controls for design and operating effectiveness in accordance with established policies
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of experience with BSA regulations concerning KYC, EDD, Financial crime investigations and regulatory reporting.
Minimum 3 years experience in a BSA specific role at a financial institution
Current Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) Certification
Additional Qualifications
Working knowledge of banking operations, government regulations, accounting principles and account reconcilement.
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access required.
Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act required.
BSA Testing or audit experience preferred. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills required.
Excellent verbal/written and written communication skills required to interact with all levels of Bank personnel and outside contacts.
Tableau experience is preferred.
Experience with AML Monitoring Systems such as Actimize is preferred.

Provides protection to Reynolda House Museum of American Art as well as guests and staff from criminal activity, fire, safety hazards or other dangerous situations. Essential Functions:
Maintains knowledge of current policies and procedures to protect the collection, staff, and visitors to Reynolda.

Correctional Officer Responsibilities:
- Ensure the care, custody, and control of offenders
- Perform general security duties to prevent escape, disorder, rule infractions, and harm to offenders, visitors, and staff such as:
- Search offenders, visitors, cells, and other areas for weapons and contraband
- Maintain and record offender counts, cell assignments, and other pertinent information
- Escort offenders within and outside the institution
- Supervise offender work details

- Observing offender activity in person and on closed-circuit monitors

The Division of Institutions is responsible for the care and custody of approximately 30,000 individuals incarcerated in 53 prisons across North Carolina. Our division categorizes the institutions into various custody levels, which include Minimum, Medium, and Close, to ensure that the precise level of supervision is provided. With the purpose to provide every individual in custody proper care and supervision, irrespective of their custody level.

Reporting to our Director of Protection and Safeguarding, The Protection and Safeguarding Specialist is responsible for integrating protection and safeguarding into GSD emergency response and preparedness operations, including deployment to emergencies with GSD's Disaster Response Team .

During both “blue sky” periods and emergency deployments, the Protection and Safeguarding Specialist will work to ensure that GSD's programs and operations minimize harm, promote safety, and uphold the rights and dignity of affected populations, including preventing and responding to sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) and child safeguarding concerns. The Specialist will provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to GSD teams and partners and serve as Safeguarding focal point for deployments. The Protection and Safeguarding Specialist works to strengthen GSD's protection and safeguarding capacity through development of technical resources, capacity strengthening initiatives, support to strategy, system and capability development and related tasks.
GSD is locally-led, brings together a range of backgrounds and expertise and does not engage in stand-alone protection programming at this time. Deployments are often based out of GSD's Humanitarian Vessel. Rapidly deploy to areas affected by natural disasters (within 48 hours, for up to 3 weeks per deployment) and remain prepared for rapid deployment;
Conduct rapid protection and safeguarding risk analysis for affected areas;
Support GSD teams to integrate protection principles into all aspects of GSD's emergency response, including needs assessments, program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation;
Work with Team Leads to ensure implementation of GSD's safeguarding policies and procedures on the ground, that they are understood and adhered to by all staff, volunteers, and partners;
Identify and analyze potential protection and safeguarding risks associated with GSD's programs and operations and develop mitigation strategies, emphasizing those most at-risk;
Provide training and awareness-raising sessions on protection and safeguarding principles, expectations, risk mitigation, and reporting channels, for GSD staff, volunteers, and partners;

Connect with specialized protection organizations, and those serving the most vulnerable or at-risk populations. Participate in relevant coordination meetings and working groups;
Adapt protection and safeguarding strategies and tools to the specific contexts where GSD works;
Contribute to timely and accurate reporting on protection and safeguarding activities, including any incidents or concerns. Maintain clear and confidential records in accordance with GSD's policies;
Ensure consideration of protection needs and rights of affected populations within GSD's operations and with external stakeholders as appropriate;
Develop technical resources and tools for GSD staff and partners on protection and safeguarding;
Support program teams and departments to integrate Safeguarding and Protection into program design and implementation.
Contribute to development of organizational framework on protection and safeguarding as well as strategies and tools;
Represent protection and safeguarding in relevant internal meetings;

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience:
Seven (7) or more years of relevant professional experience, working on protection, GBV, child protection, or related field in humanitarian settings. Experience in the Caribbean and/or Central America a plus; and
Proven experience applying protection lenses to engagements with partners and teams.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated skills in protection risk analysis and mitigation;
Strong understanding of minimum standards for protection and safeguarding in humanitarian action;
Solid experience in humanitarian programming for major protection issues including GBV, child protection, etc.;
Demonstrated experience and understanding of survivor-centered safeguarding systems;
Ability to work collaboratively with a wide array of stakeholders and build authentic, strong relationships across cultures;
Excellent at developing technical tools and facilitating training in protection;
Flexibility to adapt to evolving organizational needs and systems as well as different modalities of working;
Discernment for confidentiality in relation to organizational, partner, and donor activities and communications;
Experience working and/or traveling domestically and internationally;
Strong organizational skills and the ability to rapidly shift tasks; and
Proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, French, or other working language is an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
