Marketing Statement
Supervises Public Safety Officers on an assigned shift for the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) Public Safety Division (PHAPS); assigns, monitors and evaluates the activities of the housing public safety officers, responsible for crime prevention and enforcing the safety and security conduct rules and regulations set forth by Federal and State statute, as well as PHA policy. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents, employees and the general public is essential.
Eligible, newly hired Sergeants will receive a $2,500 sign on bonus.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience Guidelines:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND three or more years' experience in a law enforcement organization, as an Officer, Detective, and/or Corporal; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Knowledge of:
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania criminal and civil statutes, rules, administrative orders, policies and procedures, and applicable Federal rules and regulations; Duties, powers, authorities, and limitations of a Police Officer; Modern law enforcement management principles; Pennsylvania criminal justice and court procedures and records management requirements; Methods for management and deployment of law enforcement personnel and equipment; Modern law enforcement regulations, including case laws governing arrest, rules of evidence, probable cause, use of force, custody of evidence and property, and search and seizure; Police radio, dispatch, and communication protocols, procedures, hardware, and software; Local community issues and regional community resources available to citizens; City geography, traffic patterns, and the location of streets, landmarks and PHA buildings.

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Corrections Officer is responsible for maintaining order and securing inmates in the county jail.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position reports directly to a Corrections Supervisor - Sergeant and Corrections Supervisor - Lieutenant, and/or other higher level supervisory officer as designated.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
When necessary, it is required that Corrections Officers be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours at one time and without restrictions and be able to perform the duties and responsibilities at 100% of capacity in order to be fit for duty.
Processes incoming inmates.
Conducts searches within the facility and searches inmates' cells in accordance with established policies, regulations, and/or procedures.
Transports inmates as necessary.
Monitors inmate activities, including both supervision and interaction with inmates.
Coordinates daily activities of inmates.
Makes required rounds to check safety and welfare of inmates.
Processes paperwork, completing required reports and forms on a daily basis, such as incidents of misbehavior or violation of rules.
Interacts with the public via telephone or face to face and coordinates activities with outside agencies and internal county personnel.
Enters information into the jail's computer system.
Reviews and interprets Court orders, remands and releases.
Observes inmates to detect violations of jail regulations or any unusual physical appearance or behavior of inmates.
Physically restrains inmates when necessary to prevent injuries to staff and other inmates and to maintain security.
Uses weapons, handcuffs, and minimum amount of physical force to maintain discipline and order among inmates in situations which necessitate.
Learns names and identification numbers and recognizes faces of problem inmates by observing and receiving information from other officers so that such persons can be closely observed; briefs officers on incoming shift as to unusual activities and inmate status.
On reporting to work, attends shift briefings and reads bulletins issued by the department or institution to keep abreast of changes in policies/regulations; receives work assignments.
Directs inmates in housekeeping duties in the cell block area such as sweeping/mopping of floors, making beds, and dusting/vacuuming to maintain sanitary conditions.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Completion of a high school, or general equivalency, diploma; AND
Corrections Officers are required to possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; AND
Preferred age requirement is twenty-one (21) years of age. We will consider applicants between eighteen (18) and twenty (20) years of age based on maturity and documented work experience, education and/or military experience.
MEDICAL EXAMINATION - a post offer medical examination, including a urine drug screen, is a requirement for employment. Any medical or physical condition or defect which would cause the officer to be a hazard to himself, herself or others, or become aggravated as a result of the performance of these duties, will be cause for the offer to be rescinded.
PSYCHOLOGICAL EXAMINATION - A post-offer psychological examination must be completed prior to hire. Failure to demonstrate sufficient capacity to perform duties of this position may be cause for the offer to be rescinded.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION - A post-offer criminal history check, child abuse clearance, credit check, and motor vehicle driving record check will be completed for all Corrections Officers candidates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate National Crime Information Center (NCIC) / Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) to conduct inquiries, entries and generate reports or communication messages for law enforcement personnel.
Provide assistance with Pennsylvania State Police CLEAN and Justice Network system and user maintenance.
Maintain close observation on all activities from the monitoring system.
Utilize necessary equipment to identify and document illegal and unusual activities occurring on Erie School District property.
Report all illegal and unusual activities to Erie School District Police Department Officers or Supervisors.
Other duties, as assigned by Supervisor of School & Community Safety.

This position oversees and maintains care, custody, and control of incarcerated persons within a facility, while enforcing the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the agency. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversees and monitors the activities of the incarcerated persons in living areas, recreation activities areas, dining areas and visitation areas.

* Ensures prompt and appropriate assistance to incarcerated persons in the event of injury, illness or trauma.
* Promotes facility cleanliness and reports need for maintenance or repairs.
* Serves as member of special teams to respond to emergencies as required.
* Completes training courses as required by facility and industry training standards.
* Performs correctional duties for any shift as defined by management.
* Is available for mandatory or volunteer overtime to support necessary staffing of the facility.
* Obtains certification to carry a department issued service weapon during training and maintains this certification throughout employment.

The Regional Intelligence Analyst serves as an experienced, independently capable analyst researching, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence information and performing advanced intelligence functions to support organizational preparedness and response to man-made and natural threats. The Regional Analyst is expected to demonstrate subject matter familiarity, take initiative on complex tasks, and lead analytic projects with minimal oversight.
This role reports into and is supported by SCN's centralized Threat Management and Information Sharing operation, working embedded within and under the direction of the Director, Community Security at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh in conducting proactive research and online monitoring of known and potential threat actors in Western Pennsylvania, responding to threats or incidents reported by community partner organizations, and collaborating and sharing information across relevant local, regional, and federal partner organizations and agencies.
The Regional Intelligence Analyst will be expected to work in person three days per week at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh with some flexibility. They will also be expected to attend regular in-person meetings and events in the community.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Conduct complex analysis of multi-source information to identify patterns, threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks.
Conduct OSINT monitoring and investigations across mainstream, alternative, and deep web platforms to identify and assess extremist individuals and groups (domestic and international) including known threat actors in the region.
Capture, assess, interpret, corroborate, and distribute intelligence using databases, software platforms, and online portals.
Develop original intelligence products including reports, bulletins, threat assessments, and briefings tailored for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide protective intelligence support for events to include reviewing and tracking events, alerting law enforcement fusion centers of upcoming events, and performing analysis to determine event security measures and staffing.
Collaborate across agencies and organizations to share relevant intelligence and fill identified collection gaps.
Coordinate with SCN's Jewish Security Operations Command Center (JSOCC) to ensure alignment with national intelligence priorities, receive support and review of intelligence operations and discuss national threat trends and adapt intelligence-gathering strategies accordingly.
Lead or manage analytic projects, ensuring clarity, timeliness, and actionability of deliverables.
Deliver briefings to senior leadership, law enforcement, and community partners.
Perform structured analysis and generate, test, and refine analytic hypotheses.
Incorporate alternative analysis techniques and structured analytic methods.
Identify and manage personally identifiable information (PII) responsibly and in compliance with SCN's privacy policy and POI Guidance considerations as well as all applicable legal regulations.
Apply analytic tradecraft with precision, including critical thinking, source evaluation, and intelligence cycle management.
Contribute to a professional analytic culture by supporting continuous improvement in product quality and tradecraft standards.
Participate in on-call rotations and variable shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience in intelligence, research, and analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in intelligence tradecraft, analytic methodologies, and intelligence product development.
Advanced understanding of analytic tools, structured techniques, and the intelligence cycle.
Prior experience generating and presenting intelligence products to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Ability to quickly and effectively synthesize and summarize information from multiple sources into concise, analytic assessments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief executives, law enforcement, and partners.
Capable of managing multiple high-priority tasks with limited oversight in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to obtain a government security clearance of at least a secret level.
Proficiency with OSINT, social media research, and relevant platforms.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, records management software, mass alert systems, mapping software, automated monitoring systems and software including internet and social media to provide all-source research, analysis, monitoring and accurate report production.
Proficient knowledge of alternative social media platforms.
Familiarity with privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties protections applicable to intelligence products and processes.
Ability to accurately input detailed information into databases, adhering to established data integrity policies and procedures.

The target annual salary range for this position is $70,000-$73,000. Chester County Prison is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Correctional Officer. This is entry-level work involving formal and informal academic and on-the-job training in ensuring the security and safety of Prison staff, inmates (sentenced and non-sentenced), visitors, premises, and property. Under the supervision of senior personnel, an employee in this position directs inmate activity in cell blocks, housing units, work areas, and dining and recreation areas; observes inmates from posted watch stations, and in corridors and visiting areas, ensuring security and adherence to Prison rules; and provides advice and informal guidance to inmates. Work may vary from shift to shift and station to station. An employee in this position serves conditionally during his/her probationary period and must complete, with passing grades, an agenda of formal and informal instruction and practice. The qualified candidate must be at least 21 years of age by the date of hire.
