* Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye. Lasik, ALK, RK, and PRK corrective eye surgeries are acceptable eye surgeries for applicants, and you will be considered eligible for this position provided specific visual tests are passed. Waiting periods are Lasik-2 months after surgery, PRK-6 months after surgery, and ALK/RK-1 year after surgery.
* Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges.
* Complete or secure an appropriate waiver for a 13-week Uniformed Police Training Program (UPTP) at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) AND a 10-week Mixed Basic Training Course (MBTC) at the Agency's James J. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GL-07) performing at least 2 of the 3 duties such as:
* Assisting in investigative responsibilities to include physical surveillance and monitoring protective activities and active criminal investigations;
* Assisting in protective advances to identify critical and vulnerable facilities and sites for visible threats; or
* Providing routine technical advice and guidance regarding protection and law enforcement operations, physical security, crime prevention, force protections and operations security.

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in an accredited college or university leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

General Medical Requirements: As determined by OPM the duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Additional information
Applicant selected for this position will be required to sign a Continued Service Agreement (CSA) before being assigned to an initial training class. This position is covered by Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime (AUO) and additional compensation may be paid at the rate of up to 25% of the base salary.

Job Summary:
The ideal candidates will have an understanding of and experience in using Motivational Interviewing, case management, and program tracking. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Completes the daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs. Maintains positive relationships with Store Management. Conducts apprehensions within established policies and guidelines. Communicates with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives. Identifies and resolves internal and external theft.
Adheres to established shoplifter guidelines and policies
Provides timely, courteous and knowledgeable service to customers
Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
Observes, apprehends, and/or deters any acts of dishonesty from outside sources
Participates in investigations and surveillance as assigned
Ensures apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity
Completes and distributes paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
Maintains appropriate evidence, demonstrates understanding of law enforcement procedures and professionally participates in legal activities as needed (e.g., police calls, etc.)
Coordinates and complete shrink related activities in partnership with Store Management
Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures

Job Summary:
The Chief Public Health Data Officer (CPHDO) for the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) will be a visionary leader responsible for the strategic direction, management, and governance of all public health data initiatives across the state. This role will drive the modernization of ADHS's data infrastructure, promote data-driven decision-making, and ensure the effective and ethical use of public health data to improve population health outcomes for all Arizonans. The CPHDO will foster a culture of data literacy and innovation, collaborating extensively with internal divisions, external partners, and state agencies.
Job Duties:
Develop and implement a comprehensive public health data strategy aligned with ADHS's mission and strategic priorities, and state-wide public health goals and provide leadership and direction for all aspects of data management, including data collection, storage, analysis, reporting, and dissemination.
Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and privacy and oversee the entire data lifecycle, from acquisition to archiving, ensuring compliance with relevant state and federal regulations.
Oversee the vision of compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for various audiences, including ADHS leadership, policymakers, and the public.
Foster strong collaborative relationships with internal ADHS divisions to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions and partner with other state agencies, healthcare providers, academic institutions, and community organizations to facilitate data sharing and interoperability.
Represent ADHS in state, regional, and national forums on public health data, advocating for Arizona's interests and sharing best practices.
Foster a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision-making throughout the department.
Oversee, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data professionals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:
-Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of data analytics tools, statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS), database management systems (SQL), and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, power BI).
-Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant data privacy and security regulations (HIPAA, state regulations).

Retirement:
To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will contribute to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution.
