As the Area Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of students across multiple Spectrum School locations by providing tailored clinical and educational interventions designed to meet each learner's unique needs. This position works under the support and direction of the Area/Regional VP, Operations and onsite Program Directors to enhance the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of students through use of evidence-based interventions and in collaboration with the operations and educational staff from each campus within assigned area.
‖ Responsibilities Include:
Delivering comprehensive training and continuous guidance to teachers and educational staff in designing impactful Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and quality of academic instruction and behavioral support services provided to students, ensuring exceptional outcomes.
Supporting Spectrum staff by modeling, reinforcing, and enhancing instructional best practices to promote student growth aligned with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
Implementing evidence-based interventions by applying scientifically proven behavioral and educational strategies, promoting positive outcomes in academic, social, emotional, and independent functioning.
Providing crisis management intervention and support for students exhibiting aggressive or self-injurious behavior and developing strategies to reduce the need for 1:1 staffing.
Collaborating closely with on-site education teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior, monitor student progress, and ensure appropriate intervention responsiveness and consistent progress toward goals.
Conducting regular quality checks for each campus within assigned region at the student, staff, classroom, and site levels; making recommendations for improvement based on analysis of data.
Supporting the development of on-site teams within assigned the area through delivery of training on behavioral assessment, intervention, positive behavior supports, data collection, crisis management, and other relevant topics.
Providing guidance and supervision to staff members within assigned region pursuing BACB certification (RBT, BCaBA, BCBA), as agreed with the Program Director or VP of Behavior Services.
Assisting in the development and implementation of improvement plans for assigned campuses to enhance student performance and staff effectiveness.
Engaging in multi-disciplinary on-site and regional team meetings to discuss behavioral needs and contribute to the development of comprehensive support strategies.
Monitoring and ensuring adherence of all campuses to Department of Education regulations and internal standards for educational and behavioral service is maintained within assigned area.
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, progress, and compliance activities.
Providing operational support to all schools in the assigned area, focusing on academic achievement, behavioral support, staff retention, and development.
Performing additional duties or special projects as assigned to support organizational goals and student success.
‖ Qualifications Required:
Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education or a closely related field of study.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) credential.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an education specialist or special education instruction credential preferred.
Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid CA state driver's license.
Well-versed in applied behavior analysis (ABA) including positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS), data-based decision making, and functional behavior analysis (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP).
Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, effective teaching strategies, classroom management, personalized instruction and working with students.
Highly skilled in working with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or other related disabilities.
Prior experience and highly skilled in crisis management systems and intervention procedures.
Prior experience and highly knowledgeable in working with students with individualized education plans (IEP's).
Proven success in developing and implementing effective intervention plans for students with diverse needs.
Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals.
Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions.
Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment.

NCSH Residential - SUD Counselor

. North County Serenity House (NCSH), a residential program of HealthRIGHT 360, was founded in 1966 to provide substance use disorder services in the community. NCSH provides a gender-responsive and trauma-informed environment, using evidence-based and best practices that recognize and account for the role that trauma frequently plays in substance use and criminal histories of women. For clients with co-occurring mental illness, we provide integrated substance use and mental health services which treat both conditions as primary. Our residential facility serves up to 120 women (with capacity for up to 20 children under 5 years of age) seeking recovery from substance use disorders.
The SUD Counselor III is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team that supports our clients through assessment of their needs and strengths in support of their health and recovery. SUD Counselor III will perform counseling in individual and group setting, deliver curricula in accordance with program specific requirements and case management, and assist clients in navigating systems of care while providing a supportive treatment environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Treatment Setting:
Maintain an assigned caseload of up to 25 clients, depending on the program staffing pattern and business needs, and provide individualized weekly counseling.
Facilitate group counseling sessions and community meetings.
Proactively link clients to both internal and external resources based on their treatment needs.
Teach classes on treatment-related topics to assist clients in meeting their treatment goals.
Collaborates with each caseload client and other available internal and external resources to develop/maintain treatment plans, transition plans, progress notes and appropriate updates in support of the health and recovery needs of the client.
Perform crisis intervention and communicate with the treatment team.
Follow up on clients' treatment progress.
Monitor and document client medication administration.
Ensure secure storage and proper accounting of client medications.
Accompany clients to offsite appointments as needed.
Assign client duties and sign off upon completion.
Motivate clients to fulfill their weekly obligations.
Support intake process and maintain supplies.
Collect, clean, or dispose of biohazard waste.
Disinfect and clean rooms and common areas.
Safety and Security:
Maintain safety and security of clients in the facility.
Perform periodic house runs.
Perform property and room searches.
Respond to medical emergencies including overdoses.

Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Experience

Treehouse South, is part of a network of crisis residential programs in Orange County. Treehouse South is a short-term crisis residential program, which works in collaboration with the Orange County Mental Health Department. It assists members within Orange County who are experiencing acute mental health crisis, and need additional assistance in stabilizing their current level of functioning without resulting in the member being admitted to any Inpatient or higher level of care facility or program. The program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team that focuses on stabilization and recovery.

ND - Nursing Student Worker
Intensive in-home counselor job in Costa Mesa, CA
The Nursing Student Worker provides support to current Nursing students, faculty, and department visitors. This position is responsible for receptionist duties, greeting visitors and managing phone lines. This position also serves the Nursing Department with administrative support and event needs as assigned. This student worker will report to Guadalupe Flores, Administrative Coordinator for the Nursing Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, Power Point
Complete tasks associated with preparing for events (e.g. publicity, prepare nametags, decorations, centerpieces, signage)
Perform clerical and data entry tasks to file documents accordingly
Manage and respond to messages on the office information phone line
Provide customer service by greeting guests and answering the office phone and email
Assist with various administrative tasks as needed
Adhere to the code of confidentiality where discretion should be used
Other duties assigned
REQUIRED DATES:
All nursing events (Sigma Ceremony - date TBD, Student Orientation - date TBD, Thesis Presentations - date TBD, Nursing Pinning - May 1, PMHNP dinner - date TBD).
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Current student enrolled at Vanguard University in good standing.
Vibrant belief in Jesus Christ with ample evidence of personal discipleship.
Preferred Major/Minor: Not a nursing major.
Maintain minimum grade point average of 2.0 each term.
Additional requirements: flexible schedule and must live locally (on-campus or within the county).
Demonstrated commitment as a team player to support and collaborate with faculty, staff, peers, and external constituents, as well as the initiative and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will result in effective collaboration.
COMPENSATION:
This position is 20 hours per week at a start rate of $16.50 (depending on experience).
