Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking compassionate and professional PRN Residential Counselors to join our team at our residential facilities, serving community members and U.S. military veterans referred by the Rocky Mountain VA. PRN staff play a vital role in supporting the 24/7 operations of our residential facilities-covering shifts so full-time staff can take time off or attend training-while completing all the tasks that keep the house running, including medication administration, administrative duties, and most importantly, direct client support. Residential Counselors provide one-on-one care, crisis counseling, medication management, educational groups, and foster independence in a safe, therapeutic environment. Candidates should have strong communication and documentation skills. This is a meaningful opportunity to be part of a collaborative team making a lasting impact in clients' recovery journeys.
Schedule. Our Residential Facilities are 24/7 and open every day of the year, and Residential Counselors work fully onsite/in person. PRN staff are typically required to work at least two shifts per month. Shifts are 10 hours in length, with options including the following.
Day: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
Mid-day: 10:30 am - 8:30 pm
Overnight: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
Swing Shift: 1:00 pm - 11:30 pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide individual psychotherapy with consumers to provide support and insight.
Facilitate group therapy sessions within the house.
Coordinate clinical care with case management services and other services both inside and outside of MHCD.

Document all significant consumer interactions toward recovery and continuity of care.
Complete necessary clinical documentation, such as the daily log, consumer record, and medication records.
Respond to consumer and building emergencies, and facilitate appropriate interventions. In emergency situations, contact other residential staff, your supervisor, or other clinicians when needed.
Advocate for acceptance and integration of individuals with mental illness within the neighborhood and community in which they live.
Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
Required to attend scheduled team meetings.

Must meet qualifications under Chapter 7 of the Residential Care Facilities - Mentally Ill requirements. Shift work and/or weekend work is required. Certain programs may require a Class "S" driver's license.

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking compassionate and adaptable Milieu Counselors (PRN) to join our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and support clients in need of short-term, intensive mental health care. In this role, you'll provide oversight and support to individuals staying in the CSU for up to five days, helping maintain a safe and therapeutic environment through group and individual interactions, meal and activity assistance, safety checks, and responsive care in a fast-paced setting. Ideal candidates bring strong social and de-escalation skills, a genuine interest in mental health, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations-all while delivering excellent documentation and customer service.
Salary for this role.
Starting wage is based on experience and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.

Schedule. The CSU is a 24/7 program open every day of the year, and Milieu Counselors work fully onsite/in person. Shifts are 10 hours in length, with options including the following. PRN staff are typically required to work at least two shifts per month.

We are seeking Residential Counselors to support the Calabrese Youth Center (CYC). Reporting to the CYC Program Manager, this role will support Laradon's mission by providing life skills training and support to children/youth living in Laradon's Youth Center program. Ensuring the health and safety of children/youth, and providing the assistance necessary to increase independent living skills.
No day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities:
Plan and implement daily activity schedule.
Supervise and assist the children/youth with medications.
Train, and assist as necessary, children/youth in shopping, cleaning, money management, hobbies, personal hygiene, etc.
Provide direct counseling and training services to children/youth.
Oversee health and welfare of children/youth and report concerns and progress to program manager.
Facilitate groups on a daily basis (anger management, self-esteem, etc.).
Provide 24-hour supervision to children/youth.
Ensure facilities are clean, safe and orderly.
Attend Youth Center staff meetings.
Implement behavior programs.
Assist with recreational activities.
Perform monthly safety/fire drills.
Perform Safety Care techniques, as needed.
Train children/youth in use of community resources (RTD, laundromat, banks, restaurants, etc.).
Execute duties according to rules and regulations of licensing agencies.
Drive participants as necessary for program needs.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Documentation, as required.
Other duties as assigned.

We're looking for back up Counselors to pick up shifts as needed. This person will work in person, on site in Lakewood, Colorado.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
High School/GED plus one year of related experience required.

One year of work experience in behavioral health required. Experience in substance abuse treatment and experience with youth is highly preferred.
