Provide counseling and crisis stabilization for students who request services or are referred by faculty or staff. Meet with students and coordinate student transitions from university services to off-campus referrals/resources as appropriate for the level of treatment required. Within the FERPA guidelines, communicate with staff, parents, families, or designated emergency contacts regarding emergencies, including hospitalizations and other crises, to Assist with facilitating success on campus or transitioning back to campus, if possible, when issues are appropriately resolved for care. Develop and maintain a database of community resources that can be utilized by mental health clinicians, physicians as well as campus partners seeking referrals. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely case notes. Attend interdepartmental case management and committee meetings as assigned by the university. Develop and present workshops for staff, faculty, and students on mental health. Assist in student orientation, parent orientation, student leader training, and other events as requested. Consult regularly with assigned key campus partners regarding services, access, and care for students. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, and community providers. Coordinate specialty services on campus for student groups who would benefit from group programs. Serve on the CARE Team. Maintain a high level of visibility on campus by attending various events to build relationships with students, faculty, and staff and be accessible after hours in an emergency. Some evening hours.
