JOB SUMMARY: The Intensive Home-Based Services (IHBS) Counselor primarily has responsibility for working with children in their home, out-of home placement, and school environment. The IHBS Counselor works with children and their families to provide a large variety of services ranging from behavior management, behavior modification, transportation, respite care, school aid, crisis intervention, self-help skill building, vocational training and other services as needed to provide “whatever it takes” to make a successful and permanent placement for the child, The IHBS Counselor's duties are coordinated by the CFS/IHBS Coordinator.
