EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's or Master's degree with emphasis in behavioral sciences, education, or social work.
Licensed or credential to function as an alcohol and drug treatment counselor in the state in which the Counselor is working. The successful candidate can be licensed as Counselor, Social Worker, Psychotherapist, or Therapist. JOB SUMMARY:
Provides individual and group counseling, therapeutic intervention, and educational lectures to patients and family members.
Develops, revises, and implements treatment plans.
Performs assessments of patients' needs, motivations, and backgrounds; prepares substance abuse bio-psycho-social/assessment summaries.
Participates on a multi-disciplinary treatment team to include participating in weekly staff meetings, any staff development, and training as required.

Work as part of a team providing crisis intervention to meet the needs of members of the community and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) patients who are in crisis. This includes responding to telephone calls on crisis intervention lines. Assess current level of dangerousness for patients who report a psychiatric crisis both by phone and in-office. Provide crisis case management services applying CCBHC practices, as needed. Work with adults and children to see that community resources are in place to meet the current needs of the patient. Provide emergency services on a short-term basis. Assist with efficient functioning of the Emergency Services Office. Direct Service.
* Provide direct service to patients in responding to telephone calls on multiple crisis intervention phone lines while concurrently documenting calls.
* Support the clinical staff in the community by assisting with Mobile Crisis Unit calls.
* Transport patients to the hospital when applicable and necessary.
* Provide crisis stabilization services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis while they are in the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU).
* Manage distraught or psychotic patients who are in need of structure; monitor gross psychological and physical functions of patients.
* Collaborates with community partners, caregivers, family members, physicians and other treatment providers on a regular consistently until patient dismissal.
* Provide transportation to support patient attendance in medical appointments and other therapeutic goal related activities to include development of community resources, employment or education access, social or consumer-run activities and related supports.
* Identify and secure in-home services to maintain stabilization once patient returns home.
Documentation.
* Complete all progress notes in accordance with CCBHC and COMCARE guidelines which meet requirements for medical necessity, goal-directed treatment and patient response to treatment within prescribed timelines.
* Documentation meets minimum Medicaid standards for content and quality.
* Completes call logs to ensure important information is available to other providers.
General Administrative Duties.
* Processing Medicaid, state hospital, Level II and PRTF screens as they are received in the Emergency Services office and recording the screen/s on the Emergency Services (ES) office electronic board.
* Processing half-slips for walk-in and cop-in patients, including entering patient information onto the ES office electronic board in a timely manner.
* Identify sources of information needed to provide comprehensive mental health treatment and secure the necessary COMCARE consents to release information. Submit necessary referral forms to team supervisor for approval or assignment in electronic health record (EHR).
* Ensure all needed documentation and forms are completed and up-to-date for assigned SCOAP patients.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or be equivalently qualified by work experience or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education, with one year of experience substituting for one year of education. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid US driver's license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance. Must have access to personal passenger vehicle to complete the driving duties of the position. Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC/CCBHC licensing standards and pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens. REPORTS TO: Children's Case Management Team Lead
The Children's Respite Worker provides one-on-one service to children with serious emotional, behavioral or psychological disorders, with the purpose of providing relief to families/caregivers. Services can be home, community, and school based.

1 . Provides services in order to maintain required productivity/billing standard set by the department.

JOB SUMMARY
The Healthy Families Home Visiting Family Support Specialist (FSS) is responsible for building trusting relationships with families based on the Healthy Families America model. Job Summary:
The Behavioral Interventionist (BI) works one-on-one in the home and/or community with youth who struggle with behavioral management to the degree it threatens the stability of their living situation. The families in this program have varying levels of communication, parenting, organizational, and cleanliness skill sets. Our job is to work with all families, regardless of skill levels displayed. It is the expectation that the assigned BI continue the case assignment, regardless of family dynamics or home conditions.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide one-on-one services to clients enrolled in the Behavioral Interventionist program, following requirements and policies of agency, contracts, state regulations and COA standards at all times.
Maintain strong, open communication with supervisors, caregivers of clients to ensure service efficacy and approval of agenda and activities during shifts. Adhere to family routines and structure, as established.
Provide direct supervision to client at all times and assist clients through completion of daily responsibilities, activities, and living skills with direction, coaching, and approved intervention strategies at all times.
Actively and regularly engage with client by using approved Bruce Perry trauma-informed brain stimulating activities.
Adhere to the goals established in the Individualized Behavioral Objective Plan to help youth work toward and achieve treatment goals.
Model positive behavior and effective problem-solving techniques, and model ethical and professional behavior at all times.
Complete all shift documentation the same day of a shift worked.
Participate as an active team member by attending and participating in all scheduled staff meetings and professional development trainings and supervisions
Meet with clients professional team and attend court hearings as requested by supervisor if necessary

Key Responsibilities:
Complete intake, screening, and assessment processes within designated time frames.
Develop and individualize treatment plans based on assessment information.
Document all services provided in accordance with regulatory standards.
Facilitate group counseling, education, and individual sessions focused on substance use recovery.
Maintain professional relationships with clients, referral sources, and coworkers.
Handle crisis situations effectively as they arise.
Participate in clinical staffing and treatment team meetings, providing feedback on cases.
Assist clients through the transition process and complete necessary correspondence.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
Master's or bachelor's degree (non-licensed) in a human services field, and/or certified/credentialed to provide services within scope of practice.
Hold credentials as a Qualified Addiction Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB) or Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) / Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) as defined by the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board (BSRB).
Individuals must be willing to become credentialed in additional states and provide telehealth services.
Additional Qualifications:
Current driver's license in state of residency, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
First Aid and CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment.
Completion of required training and background checks as specified.
Physical Requirements:
ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.

Qualifications Minimum qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in counseling or a related field
License: An active Kansas LPC license
