For over 30 years, New Season Treatment Centers have been a leading national health care service provider of outpatient treatment centers that specialize in providing safe, quality and best in class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder ("OUD").
Operating in over 70 treatment centers in multiple states, our team members are engaged in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management of individuals living with OUD. We treat the whole person and, in so doing, address the underlying causes of OUD in an effort to provide a continuum of care that not only addresses treatment needs but supports the patient on their journey to recovery.
Job Summary:
New Season operates a number of nationally recognized and accredited methadone treatment centers dedicated to helping individuals with prescription drug abuse and/or opiate addiction regain control of their lives.

Essential Functions:
Works with patients to complete all intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
Documents patient progress through counseling and interaction through groups.
Completes patient psychosocial and an individualized treatment plan within the required time frame.
Identifies any clinical/case management needs and works to address those needs.
Performs individual, group, and family counseling as required.
Performs at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week through individual or group counseling.
Reports patient abuse, neglect and exploitation as required.
Reports patient grievances as required.
Educates patient in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
Obtains Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
Assists in monitoring all patient activities on center premises.
Actively participates in community relations activities as directed and authorized.
Ensures the reading and understanding of the Policy and Procedures Manual.
Ensures compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 & 164 (HIPAA)
Is responsible for obtaining or maintaining proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements.
Actively participates in preparation for surveys and inspections conducted by CARF, the State, DEA, Board of Pharmacy and any other agency site visits as dictated by the state laws or regulations.
Participates in all staff meetings
Ensures compliance with local, State, Federal and Colonial Management Group, LP rules, regulations and policies.
Always acts in the best interests of the program and company; honors, supports, and protects the proprietary data and rights of the company.
Performs other tasks as assigned by clinic, region or corporate leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Experience in substance abuse field is not required, but preferred
Qualified candidates will have a counseling Certification in a related field (State Specific)
Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
Experience Required:
Minimum of 500 hours of experience in substance abuse is preferred
Skill and Ability:
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be dependable and reliable

Determines financial viability for treatment with the assistance of the admissions personnel. Maintains knowledge of hospital payment policies and practice to include third party payor reimbursement practices, Medicaid, and Medicare reimbursement requirements.
Communication
Consistently provides direction and information to patients, physicians, families, visitors and staff in a concise, informative, positive and courteous manner.

What You'll Do:
The High Point Police Department is seeking an experienced crisis counselor needed to provide evidenced based behavioral health and substance use interventions to individuals identified by City of High Point first responders and other city employees. Responsibilities will include responding to emergency and non-emergency calls with police officers to engage clients that are experiencing mental/behavioral health crisis, meeting clients in the community, assessing clients for safety, determining appropriate level of care, and providing clinical or non-clinical treatment. The Crisis Counselor will be providing services in real time with the support of the High Point Police Department. Works closely with multiple departments and community members on special projects, programs, and referrals. Work also involves a follow-up component to connect identified individuals with available community resources. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Community Division Commander.
Essential Tasks & Responsibilities:
Respond to referral requests from the police department or other designated partners.
* Respond within 30 minutes to calls for service where an alternate response team is requested. Depending on the call type and safety assessment, response may be independent or co-response with a police officer.
* Determine the type of response needed including field-based crisis intervention, phone counseling, information, follow-up, and/or referral.
* Engage with clients to develop rapport and gain cooperation for the completion of assessments.
* Conduct clinical assessments to determine the appropriate safety plan and level of service referral interventions needed by collecting information from clients, providers, supports, and advocates.
* Provide evidence based therapeutic interventions as indicated on the assessment (clinical or non-clinical).
* Conduct limited case management services for high service utilizers as directed by the Lead Clinician.
* Establish and maintain healthy work relationships with community partners and resources.
* Participate in an after-hours on-call schedule.
* Provide accurate documentation within allocated time frames.
* Operate standard office equipment including calculator, copier, personal computer,
printer, and related software.
* Enter and edit data in databases, spreadsheets or word processing software as needed.
* Utilizes specialized software to ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain case management notes.
* Work outside the office and within the community as needed.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
* Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work or human related fields. OR
* Bachelor's degree in human service-related fields with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
* Crisis intervention training with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of principles, practices, and various techniques / best practices for mental health, trauma and child abuse / neglect intervention, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, clinical social work, etc.
* Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, standards, and regulations.
* Substantial knowledge regarding motivational interviewing and engagement techniques.
* Comprehensive knowledge of DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders).
* Ability to assess clients and the environment to make safe clinical judgments.
* Motivation to work with clients in crisis that may have high acuity, aggressive and/or offensive behaviors.
* Strong assessment and counseling skills.
* Strong written and spoken communication skills.

3. Assume responsibility for writing, implementing, evaluating, and revising Person Centered Plan and overall treatment goals and service plans that are based on evaluations and recommendations from assessments by various professionals and input from the individual supported.
4. Function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment goals.
5. Facilitate training of independent living skills, establish access to community services and agencies, assist individuals in establishing support networks in the community and assess individual needs on a daily basis.
6. Coordinate services with the program, staff, inpatient facilities, and detoxification facilities and establish linkage to residential programs, self-help programs and community resources.
7. Review treatment progress and monitor and provide continuous consultation with other Assertive Community Treatment Team staff and community agencies to ensure the consistent therapeutic management of the individual's needs.
8. Act as liaison with the program after hours staff on a daily basis through exchange of participant information; briefly detailing the presenting problem and after hours plans for the individuals being served by the Assertive Community Treatment Team.
9. Meet regularly with the other Assertive Community Treatment Team members to formulate and disseminate information and be available by telephone and/or pager. Meet regularly to review the total caseload, problem-solve, develop plans, and determine daily duty assignments.
10. Complete an intake assessment including: medical history, general physical condition, alcohol and drug histories and current use, educational issues, family structure and relationships, vocational history and goals, legal history and issues, psychiatric history (including, onset, course, effect of illness, treatment history, medication history risk behaviors).
11. Ensure immediate and appropriate interventions are provided in response to changes in mental status which may put individual at risk.
12. Documents participant activities consistent with the service records manual. Write an event note that reflects participant activities, goals, interventions, and outcomes.
13. Developing service plans and/or person-centered plans as appropriate, and screens referrals in coordination with the other Assertive Community Treatment Team members.
14. Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements.
15. Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas.
16. Follow service definition guidelines for services being provided.
17. Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

What You'll Do:
The High Point Police Department is seeking an experienced crisis counselor needed to provide evidenced based behavioral health and substance use interventions to individuals identified by City of High Point first responders and other city employees. Responsibilities will include responding to emergency and non-emergency calls with police officers to engage clients that are experiencing mental/behavioral health crisis, meeting clients in the community, assessing clients for safety, determining appropriate level of care, and providing clinical or non-clinical treatment. The Crisis Counselor will be providing services in real time with the support of the High Point Police Department. Works closely with multiple departments and community members on special projects, programs, and referrals. Work also involves a follow-up component to connect identified individuals with available community resources. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Community Division Commander.
Essential Tasks & Responsibilities:
Respond to referral requests from the police department or other designated partners.
•Respond within 30 minutes to calls for service where an alternate response team is requested. Depending on the call type and safety assessment, response may be independent or co-response with a police officer.
•Determine the type of response needed including field-based crisis intervention, phone counseling, information, follow-up, and/or referral.
•Engage with clients to develop rapport and gain cooperation for the completion of assessments.
•Conduct clinical assessments to determine the appropriate safety plan and level of service referral interventions needed by collecting information from clients, providers, supports, and advocates.
•Provide evidence based therapeutic interventions as indicated on the assessment (clinical or non-clinical).
•Conduct limited case management services for high service utilizers as directed by the Lead Clinician.
•Establish and maintain healthy work relationships with community partners and resources.
•Participate in an after-hours on-call schedule.
•Provide accurate documentation within allocated time frames.
•Operate standard office equipment including calculator, copier, personal computer,
printer, and related software.
•Enter and edit data in databases, spreadsheets or word processing software as needed.
•Utilizes specialized software to ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain case management notes.
•Work outside the office and within the community as needed.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
•Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work or human related fields. OR
•Bachelor's degree in human service-related fields with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
•Crisis intervention training with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of principles, practices, and various techniques / best practices for mental health, trauma and child abuse / neglect intervention, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, clinical social work, etc.
•Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, standards, and regulations.

•Comprehensive knowledge of DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders).
