Jorge da Silva is a Chief Audit Executive at Inter American Development Bank and is based in Washington, District of Columbia. He has worked as Chief Audit Executive at Canadian International Development Agency. Jorge attended University of Brasilia, Brazil; Harvard Business School; and Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada).

Energy Division Chief at Inter-American Development Bank. Responsible for managing all energy lending and technical cooperation activities in Latin America and the Caribbean. Also responsible for the energy research agenda and the Bank energy strategy.

Senior Energy Economist at the World Bank from 2008 to August 2014. As a senior energy economist I was responsible for identifying and implementing sustainable energy projects. I was also responsible for research activities in the areas of energy policy, sustainable development and poverty reduction.

I also worked as senior counselor of the Board of Directors at the Inter American Development Bank, as Director of Economic Planning of the Mexican National Oil Company (PEMEX) and at the Mexican Ministry of Finance as General Director of Revenue and Pricing Policies.

I have published in the areas of energy and finance.
