TO MEET THE GROWING NEED IN THE COMMUNITY DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS, IPM QUICKLY BEGAN OPERATING A DRIVE-THROUGH FOOD PANTRY TO ENSURE THAT EVERY PERSON HAS SAFE AND EASY ACCESS TO FOOD INCLUDING FRESH PRODUCE, DAIRY, EGGS AND MEAT. ADDITIONALLY, IPM BECAME A FOOD RESOURCE HUB FOR OVER 30 SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES (I.E., VETERANS AFFAIRS AND WIC) BY COORDINATING DISTRIBUTION AND DELIVERY OF EMERGENCY FOOD BOXES FOR THOSE LIVING IN MORE REMOTE CORNERS OF IPM'S SERVICE AREA. IPM ALSO EXPANDED ITS FOOTPRINT TO PROVIDE 26 MOBILE FOOD PANTRIES IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES. THROUGH THESE PROGRAMS AND MORE, IPM DISTRIBUTED GROCERIES FOR MORE THAN 72,000 INDIVIDUAL VISITS, AN OVERALL 121% INCREASE WHEN COMPARED TO PRIOR YEAR.
