Interactions combine technology with human intelligence to improve the way businesses communicate with customers. They do this by creating virtual assistant applications that are intelligent enough to enable in-depth human conversations.

And the Interactions workplaces are themselves great places for human interaction, as they are friendly and rich in good company culture. Wally, a Senior IT Specialist at the HQ office, said: "I would say the culture is consistently upbeat and you can't walk down the hallway without saying hi to people."

Diving Into the Values at Interactions

Guiding Lights

Interactions's CEO Mike Iacobucci, said, "We spent a lot of time thinking about core values. We involved employees in this process as well. And I think what came out was really the right core values that really were a true reflection of how Interactions was operating."

Those core values are:

  • We are passionate about transforming customer experience: Interactions sees opportunity in every, well, interaction. They want businesses to see the same opportunity they do. So they enable businesses to get the most out of communication with clients of their own.
  • We are obsessed with customers' success: Interactions sees customers as an extension of their own team. The Interactions team is hyper-focused on improving customer experience.
  • We respect each other: Honesty, courtesy, sincerity, timeliness, and inclusivity aren't just buzz words here, but applicable guiding principles.
  • We embrace disruption: Interactions seeks to change the status quo and disrupt the industry. Not only do they embrace change, but chase it.
  • We do what we say: Though it is a laid back culture, Interactions holds itself to a very high standard of professionalism. When commitments are made, they are kept.
  • We create opportunity: Creating new opportunities for its own employees is really important to Interactions. The company helps employees advance and pursue their skills, interests, passions, careers, and lives.
  • On the values and how they are actually applied at Interactions, Patrick, a Project Manager, said, "I think Interactions has always been good at identifying folks who have that drive and who fit their values and who fit their model and promote them and reward them for the hard work that they do."

    The Culture at Interactions

    Where Passion and Collaboration Meet

Interactions has a very distinguished culture of laid back friendliness and inclusivity. "What's unique about interactions is just the environment. It's a bit more informal but very bright and very strategic." Brigida Director, Talent Acquisition. "We don't have siloes here. You can walk into anyone's office and feel very welcome.

David, a software architect, was the third employee hired by Interactions. He noted that he might have had something to do with the laid back culture at the company. "The culture itself, working here, has always been fairly laid back... I was like 'work hard and you do what you say you're going to do and be kind of laid back about it.'"

Interactions is the type of place where you can really feel at home. Shanerical, a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, said that from the get-go, she felt like she was part of the team.

"We had a holiday party back in December 2018, that was one of my favorite moments here. I'd only been with the company honestly for about 2 months, not even, but to walk in and have all of these employees that I literally just met say, 'Hey, Shanerical, come here, come sit here,' was just a really warm reception. I felt like everyone had known me for years," Shanerical said.
