Interactive developer job description

Leidos is seeking a UI/UX Developer to join the MEAD Infrastructure Team to support development of mission critical applications involving AI/ML capabilities for intelligence mission. The UI/UX Developer will work closely with UX Designers, Business Analysts, engineers, developers, and data scientists to learn from the users and produce low-high fidelity comps and prototypes which will be tested, iterated, and briefed for development. This role includes product centric interaction and interface design working on low-mid fidelity static comps and interactive prototypes. The UI/UX Developer will work on visual design initiatives that adhere to design principles overall consistency.

In this role, a portion of the unclassified work can be done remotely, with approval from the prime contractor. In office work will be done in a facility in the Springfield/Alexandria area, with occasional in person meetings at other DC area locations such as Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling AFB and Reston, VA.
Primary Responsibilities
Working with clients, User Experience Designers and Business Analysts to develop the overall look and design Writing website code with programming languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript and React JSProducing, maintaining and modifying user interfaces Incorporating applications, graphics, audio and video clips into websites Creating tools that enhance the user's experience Ensuring websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and tablets Routinely testing websites for ease of use, speed and other quality factors Fixing any issues or bugs that arise

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Design, or related discipline. Experience with programming languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript and React JS5+ years experience developing intuitive web applications Security ClearanceCandidates must already possess an active TS/SCI clearance. Candidates must be willing to obtain and maintain a polygraph.US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contracts we support.

We are seeking a Senior UI Developer with an expert level of understanding in Web and mobile applications. The Senior UI Developer will involve as a participant in the design, code, and test web and mobile programs and applications. The Senior UI Developer must be capable of working on extremely complex applications/projects and has established himself/herself as a functional expert in one or more business areas as Web and mobile technology expert.
Be a part of the Scrum team to analyze backlogs and turn them into actionable stories and tasks. Convert design mockups into high-quality reusable components Conduct extensive automated unit testing of programs in Web and mobile software applications to ensure they will produce the desired outcome. Write and maintain standards for HTML, CSS or Javascript. Guides or directs the work of other team members who may perform similar or related work. Serves as a mentor/developmental advisor and/or training resource while working with implementation partners. Researches new client libraries/frameworks and best practices. Create prototypes for new product ideas working closely with UX Designer.

Technical Knowledge/Skills

Education/Experience

Bachelor’ s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience. 10+ years of IT and business/industry work experience 5+ years of experience in selecting, defining or designing Web and mobile applications
