As an ABA Tech III, you will be responsible for direct behavioral therapy with children, adolescents, and young adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities in our center based program and promote language, behavioral, social, and daily living skills. Responsible for program development of 4-8 clients under supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Education and Experience Required: The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and experience working with children. Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science such as psychology, sociology, counseling, applied behavioral science, etc. is preferred. Specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience preferred. Must be in or completed approved course sequence for ABA. Must have a signed contract with Intercept supervisors for fieldwork hours.
Additional Requirements: Must possess a current registered behaviortechnician credential and be in good standing or must successfully complete a 40-hour class, competency assessment, and exam to become a registered behaviortechnician within 2 months of hire.

As a Registered BehaviorTechnician, you will be responsible for support and implementation of an individualized plan based on the client's targets and goals with a focus on decreasing unsafe behaviors while increasing communication and social skills while receiving support from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will work with children, adolescents, and young adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities in our center based program that promote language, behavioral, social, and daily living skills.
Education and Experience Required: The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous experience working with children. Must possess a current registered behaviortechnician credential in good standing. Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus! Must have afternoon availability until 6 P.M.
Technicians are compensated for direct and indirect services provided, entry level pay starts at $21 for direct care and increases based on experience and certification; and ABA-specific education, up to $26 for direct care. Indirect care pay range is between $15 and $18 based on experience and certification.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
BehaviorTechnicians implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs with CARD patients and families under the direction of a Clinical Supervisor. Treatment plans are designed to address skill acquisition as well as challenging behavior reduction and may occur in a variety of settings including the CARD center, patient's home, school, community, or via telehealth. BehaviorTechnicians report to the CARD Operations Manager. This position has no direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct treatment to patients under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor in a 1:1 or group environment
Provide treatment that exceeds CARD's clinical quality standards
Collect and record data on patient progress with high fidelity
Review and implement Clinical Supervisor feedback during each treatment session
Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues
Seek personal growth and training opportunities to ensure clinical excellence
Maintain accurate and timely records
Always maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements
Represent CARD professionally and ethically to internal and external stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

Must pass initial CARD BehaviorTechnician Training program, including passing a comprehensive written exam and field evaluation

Treatment may occur in a variety of settings including the patient's home, the CARD center, the patient's school, the community, or via telehealth. BehaviorTechnicians work in environments that are both indoors and outdoors and may move between different locations throughout the course of the workday.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Be able to work with patients who are seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other home, school, community and clinic environments
Move frequently throughout the therapeutic setting to gather materials, anticipate, and respond to the movement of a patient, and/or provide instruction in a variety of settings, such as school, playground, clinic, or community locations
Constantly position oneself to participate and respond to the movements and behaviors of patients, including but not limited to bending to assist a patient, kneeling/crouching to teach a play skill, hurrying to block an open doorway, or reaching to prevent a patient from entering a traffic congested street
Be able to utilize continuous visual tracking to monitor the movement of patients, as well as the items and circumstances in the surrounding environment
Occasionally move to evade aggressive behaviors and/or physically block attempts to aggress towards others. Responding to behaviors may occasionally require bearing weight of a patient who is leaning, pushing, etc.
Frequently teach patients to use vocal speech. Must be able to articulate sound and model speaking clearly, as well as listen to and shape vocal communication of patients

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Rate: $19 - $24 / hr based on experience and BT level
Receive a sign-on and retention bonus paid out at successful completion of 3, 6, and 12 months (full-time new hires only). Plus, additional yearly stipends provided as grant funding permits!

What We're Looking For
Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required
Education:
BT I: High School diploma and behavior health experience
BT II: Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field,
or
QMHP (trainee),
or
The ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire
Maintain valid state appropriate driver's license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work

We offer speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and ABA to all children with special needs. We offer a great working environment and very flexible schedules. • Provide one-on-one behavioral-based instruction in-home, school, and community.
• Assist client in developing social skills.
• Collect behavior based data for trending and program implementation purposes.
• Record client's progress towards behavior goals and objectives.
• Provide safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors
• Follow the treatment plan, goals, and interventions set by the BCBA.
• Educate parents on reinforcement and early intervention information.
• Educate all families involved, about the role of ABA based interventions in early development.
• Display sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic needs of the clients and families served.
Requirements:
Rbt's must have at least one years prior experience working with children
