As a child behaviorspecialist, you will be responsible for support and implementation of an individualized plan based on the client's targets and goals with a focus on decreasing unsafe behaviors while increasing communication and social skills while receiving support from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will work with children, adolescents, and young adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities in our center based program that promote language, behavioral, social, and daily living skills.
Education and Experience Required: The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous experience working with children. Must possess a current registered behavior technician credential in good standing; or complete a 40-hour class, competency assessment, and exam to become a registered behavior technician within 6 months of hire (IH provides training compensation during this time). Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus! Must have afternoon availability until 6 P.M.
PT Specialists are compensated for direct and indirect services provided, entry level pay starts at $20 for direct care and increases based on experience and certification; and ABA-specific education, up to $26 for direct care. As Case Aide, you will support multiple therapeutic foster care teams composed of a family consultant, child in care, the birth family, the therapeutic foster parents, the program director/supervisor, the custodial agency case worker, and others in involved in the effort to promote the child's normal development and successful adjustment to family and community living. The Case Aide's primary tasks are to assist the Family Consultant on maintenance of the client record and support the efforts of team members on common goals and strategies.
Education and Experience Required: The selected candidate must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent; Experience in the field of foster care or experience in working with behavioral programs, counseling, and/or skills training is highly preferred, OR; A degree in social work from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or a field related to social work such as sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling, with a student placement in casework services to children and families or experience in providing casework services to children and families is preferred.
There is a necessity of travel (client/family transportation) expected with this position that requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle. As well as, a current driver's license, safe automobile, and current and sufficient auto insurance are all required.

Provide crisis intervention as needed.

Notify Supervisor of any significant client medical complaint(s), unusual events, accidents, medical problems, property damage or maintenance concern, etc.
