PT Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist provides quality care to all residents. PT Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist provides quality care to all residents. The PT evaluates and treats patients/residents, communicates with their families, physicians, and other health team members, and maintains all necessary documentation of services in the patient's medical records. Physical therapy services including treatment planning and implementation, discharge planning, testing patients' physical abilities, analyzing rehabilitation goals, and consulting with the rehab team and other health team members to coordinate the most effective treatment program.

Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.

Qualifications

* Assist with re-assessments for current clients, including assessments of client's skill deficits and behavior excesses
* Assist with goal development based on assessment data and knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis
* Implement behavior support to decrease behaviors that interfere with learning
* Discuss progress and generalization of skills with parents/caregivers
* Provide training in ABA principles to improve deficits in communication, socialization, and independence
* Provide training in ABA principles to decrease behaviors that interfere with learning
* Provide caregiver training to generalize skills across settings. Trainings will include descriptions of the interventions, modeling the interventions, and providing opportunities for parents to practice the intervention and receive feedback.
* Complete monthly case reviews of the client's progress and recommendations for troubleshooting lessons where needed
* Assist with updating quarterly progress on treatment goals
* Attend meetings with clinical supervisor, parents/caregivers, and Regional Center Service Coordinators
