Train operations and maintenance users in new systems operations and maintenance activities. Perform Safeguard techniques and document changes made to programs to prevent inadvertent loading of obsolete programs or complete loss from corrupted memory or files. Ensure all systems have secure protection protocols consistent with BlueScope standards. Month-end reporting. Compile data for key maintenance performance indicators. Make recommendations for improvements based on data. Assist with all safety issues related to production and ensure that safety goals are achieved. Must be able to perform mathematical equations to program PLC such as slope, strip weight tension, coil diameter increase, and RPM to Feet per minute and scaling. Industrial Electrician, Perry, Georgia Interfor is seeking a skilled, safety-minded, and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our team in Perry, Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and components throughout the mill to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. The pay range for this position is $28.77 per hour to $40.12 per hour based on skill level and experience. What You'll Do * Perform electrical repair and improvement projects throughout the entire mill site. * Read, write, and understand electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and blueprints. * Perform routine preventative maintenance duties. * Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all Programmable Logic Controller (P.L.C.) controls, A.C inverters, or any other control systems throughout the mill site. * Adhere to an absolute lock-out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation. * Effectively manage and plan work to accomplish job tasks with minimal direct supervision. * Submit work requests. * Fill out completed work orders listing work done, parts used, and time taken to complete the job. * Perform any other duties in any area requested by Supervisor. * Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
